" I don't hate you. I'm just not excited about your existence."
                               -Unknown

18 years later

I hate Mondays I thought to myself as I sit in English, twirling my pencil, bored out of my mind.
" Zoey," I hear my best friend scream into my ear, " Is there a reason you didn't tell me you're going to go see you DAD is Florida tomorrow?"
" I'm sorry Ana, I didn't know until today. Plus his name is  Christopher, not my dad. My dad is Sam, the guy my mom married. The guy that was there for all of my life," I reply.
" Sorry, forget, sore subject. Now, why did Christopher want to see you," Ana asked?
"He made this truce with the royal family of England, and it has something to do with me, I am his only child."
"Emily, your mom, said that you were going the transfer school and that you were moving to a place called Royal Isle."
My eyes widen," That's not possible, Royal Isle is a place for royals only. There is no chance that Christopher found a way for me to go there. Much less for a treaty."
"Girl, I'm pretty sure Christopher can do anything thing is he puts his mind to it. Remember, he convinced your mom to let you go to a private royal academy. I'm he could find a way to get you in there," said Ana.
" I know, but don't you think that the royal school won't take commoners."
"How about you stop moping, start helping me find a way to hitchhike to Royal Isle. This way I can me new hot guys and you can have me with you there."
I burst out laughing,"You always know how to make me feel better."
Ana scowls," I wasn't joking. I can't have my best friend move. Leaving me all alone to face school ALL BY MYSELF!"
"Miss. Zoey and Miss. Ana. Is there something you want to share with the class," asked Mr. Pressman.
I smirk," Yes, we were having a whole conversation about how ugly your new haircut looks, Mr. Pressman. I must say, it does NOT make you look any younger or better in any way."
The class burst out laughing, Mr. Pressman faces turning red in anger and embarrassment," Detention Zoey."
My smile becomes even wider," I'm so sorry, but this afternoon, I'll be on a plane of to Royal Isle, not serving detention." Then saunter out of the classroom as the bell just rings.
As I get is to the hall, Ana comes out grinning," That was so awesome, Zoey. You know, I always wonder why we're friends, but moments like this help me understand.
I snickers," Right back at you girlfriend." I sigh as I walk into Science, " This is one class I won't miss," I mutter to Ana. "This school won't be the same without you. All classes will be depressing without you making sassy comments to all of the teachers," Ana says. " I'm going to miss detention. We had a lot of good times together," I reply back. Ana smirks as she sits down," Only you would." Ms. Abermath walks in with a scowl on her face, " Class I want you to take out your homework and pass it to the person next to you. We will be checking it." My phone buzzes with a text from Ana: This is your last class at Sunny High

Me: I won't be missing anything but my best friend.

Ana: You better text me every day with an update on how everything is at Royal Isle.

Me: Will do. A voice in front of me interrupts our texting. " Would you like to share your text with everyone on the call Miss. Zoey," says Ms. Abermath. I grin," I would love to. I was texting my half-sister who is at another school she said: are in Science? I said: Yeah Ms.Abermath is having a bad hair day like every day," Ms.Abermath's face turns red," Principal office NOW," she screams. I salute her," Yes, Sir," and walk out with the class laughing at me. I don't go the principal's office, but just leave since nothing was going to happen if I actually went to the principal's office. I just walk out and go to the white Mustang and drive home. When I get there, there was a blue hybrid in the garage, not any of my family cars. I kill the engine and slowly walk towards the door. I could hear muffled voices inside the house. When I open the door, the speaking stopped. "Zoey, I want you to meet Christopher. He will be with you on the flight to Royal Isle and will check you in and everything," My mom said. Christopher said," Hi, are your bags packed for the trip," I was speechless and just nodded," Go grab them, we will talk on the car ride to the airport." I run upstairs to get my bags, anticipating what Christopher would want to talk about.
When got downstairs I saw my pacing around waiting for me.
"Did you pack everything you will need with you," my mom asks in a worried tone.
"Yes," I reply with a smile, "I have everything I need and I promise to call every day and text a lot too."
" Then off you go, Zoey. I love you."
"Love you too," I say walking out.
Christopher was waiting for me inside the car. I was nervous about what was going to happen as I slowly walk toward the car and open the door.
"You look amazing," Christopher said to me.
    "Thanks," I mumble back.
" Are you excited to go the Royal Isle?" He asked me.
"I know it will be a different experience. I hope that that are not stuck-up people."
" Some are, but I know you can take it. There will be fencing, archery and other classes that I know that your mom made sure you learned," Christopher said.
I nod," Yeah they were fun to learn."
He nodded back," Good then you so just fine there."
There was an awkward silence so I popped into my head buds and listened to music the rest of the ride. Yeah, I thought I'll be just fine stuck on an island of royals.
