Chapter 1:

Cole

“And I present to you our valedictorian, Cole Saunders!”

Everyone clapped their hands as I make my way to the stage to get the proof of my excellence. Today may not be the 4th of July but for me, it’s my independence day. This day will be the last day that I will be under my father’s chokehold.

After the dean gave me the medal, I stood in the middle of the stage and said my speech:

“ To my dear batch mates, I would like to congratulate all of you for surviving and enjoying these last 4 years   of our lives that we  called ‘last stage of partying’ --  I chuckled while the audience laughs too. “—Even though we rendered this school as hell, the rooms as torture chambers and the hallways as the path of death but deep inside, this place has grown in our hearts as a place where we had fun and had the worst moments that one could have. So live your life to the extent of your own happiness. And because I don’t want you guys to cry. I’m now ending this crappy speech of mine. Thank you”

Everyone roared with their howls and whistles and then, there was a wave of deafening claps.

But one thing is surely true.

I’m free.

“Hey babe, want to join us later?”

 “And go with us to a pigsty, we’re going there to see how miserable pigs are”

“Thanks but no thanks” I said while pulling out a small smile just to cover up how I’m frustrated with this stupid guy.

“Well, it’s your lost. PIG” the two of them evilly laugh as they marched off away from me.

The guy who asked me if I wanted to join was Chris Andrews—the best line backer of our school’s football team but also the rudest and meanest guy in school. Maybe he’s the devil reincarnated because of all he do all day was to tick me off and make my life miserable as if it wasn’t already and the next guy is Charlie Castor he’s the quarterback in the team and is best friends with the devil, well the saying “ Birds of the same feather flock together” really is true. Okay, off with my head ranting. By the way, I’m Audrey. Pretty name, right? Like the name of the famous Audrey Hepburn. But well, unfortunately I’m not pretty but hey, I’m not that bad either, I’m on 3 on a scale of 10. I’m what they call a teacher’s pet but boy they’re wrong... I always avoid the teacher so that I won’t take errands from those adults. Oh how I hate reality.You get bullied and bullied. I wish this could be a fantasy so that I can be in my own fairytale book and find the perfect guy for me, so that he could defend me from the monsters called Chrizilla and Charlistein.

There’s only one thing that I need and it is freedom from this cruel reality.

I wanted to be free
