Rachel's P.O.V.
"H-how could this've happened?!" I stammered, barely comprehending what I was just told. "We don't know..." Patrick murmured. "But the police are all over it," Hannah insisted, her face blank. She looked like she was trying to hide how scared she was. "Yeah, so far the police haven't found anything," Nick grumbled. I still didn't want to believe it, but it had to be true....
"Erin..." I whispered. Hannah came over and gave me another hug. I bear hugged her once more, embracing her and letting my sadness show. "They better find her soon," I growled menacingly. The looks my friends gave me told me they thought the same. "So...what should we do now?" Hannah slowly asked. "Did we come to your house for a reason?" She glanced at Nick. "Yeah," He nodded. "We came to hang out, duh."
Hannah rolled her eyes, though her face still stayed blank. "How about we all play some games?" I suggested. "You mean like checkers or something?" Patrick looked at me. His face practically spelled out, are you kidding me? "No, I mean like would you rather, truth or-"
"Dare?" Hannah cut me off. Now, she looked slightly afraid. Nick had told me about her seeing a strange man in the woods before they left to pick her up, and I understood. "Oh, come on, Hannah, it'll be fun!" Nick smiled. "I won't make you go into the woods anymore." He promised. "I'm not worried about that!" She shrilly cried. "Defensive much...?" I couldn't help but point out. "Shut up!" She shrieked. Nick laughed. "Wait," She froze, her face showing she was deep in thought. "I know another game we can play..." We looked at her confusedly and she grinned.
"Ok, there's this game called never have I ever, and it's really fun!" She smiled excitedly. "I'm up for it, how do you play?" Patrick asked, looking at her. "Well, you need a food or drink to play," She explained. "Do you have any water bottles or something we can use, Nick?" He started walking towards the kitchen, and came out a few seconds later with four water bottles, ready to drink. "Great!" Hannah cried, running over to him and taking some. She handed us each a bottle and explained further.
"Ok, so we go around in a circle, and each person tells of something that either did or didn't happen to them. Anyone who has done that thing has to take a drink. There isn't really a winner, but it is fun!" She insisted. "So, like, if we were to start out with me," Patrick started to ask. "I could say something that has happened to me or something that hasn't?" Hannah nodded. "Exactly! Oh, and you have to say, 'Never have I ever...' blah blah blah." She added.
"Ok, so, if I said, 'Never have I ever been to Chicago," Nick began, "We would all have to take a drink." Hannah answered the question before it even came out. "If you haven't done it, you don't take a drink. Sound simple enough?" She asked us. "Count me in!" I announced. "Me, too!" Nick and Patrick said at the same time. "Awesome! So, where do you wanna play?" Hannah questioned. "Uh, we could go up to my room," Nick suggested. "Alright, perfect!" Hannah beamed. We headed up the stairs and Nick led us to his room. He opened the door and we sat in a circle on the floor. "Alright, let's begin!" Hannah cried.
Hannah's P.O.V.
"Alright, let's begin!" I cried. I was happy that I could show my friends this game, and I tried my best to shove every thought of Erin out of my head. I missed her so much I just didn't know how much I could take. Sighing, I asked, "Who wants to go first?" Rachel's hand immediately shot into the air and she shrieked, "ME!" I laughed, replying, "Okay, Rachel goes first." She leaned closely into the group, for dramatic effect. "Alright, guys, never have I ever...rode Diamondback!"
Rachel and Patrick were the only ones to take a drink. I looked at the ground awkwardly and Nick murmured, "My worst nightmare...." Patrick was the next one to go; he was sitting across from me, Rachel on my right and Nick to my left. "Um...." He fiddled with the sleeve of his blue shirt as he thought of something to ask. I had been staring at him before I even noticed it. His emerald eyes lit up like candles when he finally got an idea.
