Miracle

- Amy's POV -
I was in my room relaxing when suddenly, my sheets got wet. I looked under and realized that my water broke.

I yelled "KATHERINE! LISA! CHRISTINA! CALL 9-1-1!"

Christina asked "What's wrong?"

I shouted "I think the baby's coming!" I held my stomach as Katherine and Lisa ran in. I began breathing to calm myself down a bit.

Lisa held my hand and said "I thought she wasn't due till next month."

I said "She wants out now. Now I definitely wish Xavier was here."

Katherine rubbed my back and said "Breathe. Just breathe."

Christina ran in and said "The ambulance is on their way. Who's going into the delivery room with Amy?"

I said "Lisa." I looked up in fear.

Lisa said "I was voluntold."

When the ambulance got to the house, the ride to the hospital became a blur. All I remembered was that I was in extreme pain.

Lisa said "Just breathe Amy. Just take a deep breath. In and out."

Christina said "I'll call mom and dad." They got me into the vehicle and drove off.

At the hospital, they got me in right away. They strapped a monitor to my stomach just to keep track of everything.

The doctor asked "Do you want the epidural?"

I asked "Can I walk a bit first?"

The doctor replied "Yeah. We're going to put it through in a couple of hours."

Lisa helped me out of the bed and asked "What was exactly your birth plan?"

I replied "We agreed that I should get the epidural, but we're going to give birth naturally. If the doctor has to, C-Section." I continued breathing. I just hope that this pain eases up a bit.

While walking up and down the hall, Big Nick came trailing in, followed by mom and dad.

Nick said "I was just leaving the house when... well, you won't believe this." Xavier came into the hall.

Xavier said "The firefighters mixed up the list of employees I gave them. I was out in Mississauga till eleven o'clock at night. I tried to call to tell you I was okay, but..."

I hugged Xavier and cried "I am so glad you're alright. Don't leave us, okay?"

Xavier sobbed "I promise." and hugged me. I love him so much.

I said "We all thought you were dead. We packed up our stuff and I was going to move back home."

Xavier said "We both still can. I can look for a job in Nashville."

I asked "But what about the company?"

Xavier said "You and Miracle are more important right now." and kissed my forehead.

In my room, after the epidural was inserted, I laid there breathing. Xavier rubbed my back as I relaxed a little.

Mom asked "How are you doing sweetie?"

I replied "I'm in so much pain."

Mom said "I've been there eleven times."

Dad came in and said "This hospital has a Tim Horton's. Is there anywhere in this city that doesn't have a coffee shop?"

Xavier laughed "I have no idea."

Dad walked over and asked "Are you okay Amy?"

I replied "I'm in extreme pain, but other than that, I'll be okay."
