Is it bad that it's only been thirty minutes and I already miss Harry? I've only known him for five hours, this shouldn't be happening.

My phone buzzes in my back pocket and I quickly grab it

Ian bear ❤️: hey baby! I know you're still at the airport, but I just wanted to tell you I made dinner plans tomorrow night! See you soon! Text me when you get in a cab! :)

Aw, he's so cute. Damn this is a lot of walking. I'm panting by the time I get to baggage claim. I quickly spot my bag and rush over to get it. Okay, got it, let's gooooo.

I chuck the Vera Bradley bag over my torso and scramble out of the doors to get a cab. Good lord, why does Chicago smell like chicken shit and pollution? I spot an open taxi and awkwardly speedwalk over to it and knock on the window. The musty, middle aged man violently shoves his thumb in the air, motioning for me to get in. I throw my bags in before me, "29th and Ellis, Chicago." he gruffly nods before pressing down on the gas, sending me flying into the seat, slamming my head on the headrest. Asshat.

It only takes about thirty minutes to get to Ian's apartment building from the airport. I can feel my heart start to race as soon as we turn onto Ellis Street. "We're almost there, Miss. That'll be $54.39." Goddamn. I hand the greasy man a sixty and peace the fuck out of there.

The smell of Chicago hits me as soon as I open the door. How charming, pizza and car fumes. I have to admit, I really do love this city, despite its nasty ass smell. The skyscrapers are a sight to see. I send Ian a quick text before heading into the building.

Me: l'm here!! come out :))

I receive a response almost instantly

Ian Bear ❤️: Be there in two minutes!

I trip on my own feet as I try to go in the revolving door. Good one, Cora. As soon as I regain my balance and look up I see him. "IAN! OH MY GOD IAN." I run as fast as I can and jump into his strong arms. "Hey, baby" he whispers into my ear as he kisses my cheek. "I've missed you so much, Ian. You have no idea." I choke out. Wow, I'm emotional.

He grabs my hand in his and leads me into the elevator. "So, how's life been? It's seems like forever since I've seen you." he questions.

"Pretty good. The flight here was fine, super fast. I met a really nice person who I was talking to most of the time," I sped over that part as Ian raised one eyebrow and gave me a suspicious look, "um, work's fine. I feel like I've told you everything! We text constantly!" I smile up at him. "We do, I was just wondering." he replied in a higher pitched voice. "Let's go up to my apartment! I've redecorated since you were last here," he insists.

We walked out of the elevator, still hand in hand. Ian leads me to the end of the hallway and to the right. He acts like I didn't know where his apartment was, and I didn't have the heart to tell him I could find it in my sleep. "Honey, we're home!" he yells cheekily as he pushed open the wooden door. The smell of steak hits me right as I walk in. Holy shit, since when did he cook? "Ian, this smells amazing." I cooed.

He smirked, "Well, I try." Cocky bastard.

I threw my shoes off and Ian helped me out of my trench coat. "Thank you, babe." I purred. "Always." he replied.

I bet Harry can cook too.

"I have to run to the bathroom, I'll be out in a sec." I croaked. Ian nods in reply.

I hurried to the bathroom and immediately sat down on the toilet after I locked the door. What is up with you, Cora? Ian's sweet, kind, thoughtful, attractive. So why can't you stop thinking about Harry? My phone buzzes in my pocket.

Harry Styles: Hey, since you gave me your number I decided to use it. :) Just hoping you got home safe. Also, we should meet up sometime this week because we're literally five minutes away from each other. Let me know!

Why does this asshole have such perfect timing? I smile to myself and reply,

Me: I'm at Ian's apartment safely! Thanks for checking up on me. We should! Text me tomorrow and we'll see. :)

I stalk out of the bathroom, unreasonably happy and go sit with Ian at the dinner table. "Ian this looks fantastic," I compliment. My mouth is literally watering at the sight of the steak and potatoes. Get in me.

After dinner, Ian and I sit on the couch and snuggle until we fall asleep in each other's arms.
