He continued coming closer.

Not knowing what to do she shut her eyes.

She felt something pierce through her neck accompanied with a sharp pain.

'Someone please help!' She screamed in her head as the pain became worse, hoping there would be a savior.

"Ahhhhhhh!!!"

"Milady!!"

Xylem's POV

I opened my eyes and saw a familiar ceiling. I looked around me and saw Sonna standing by the bed.

*sigh* "just a dream." I mumbled as relieve spread throughout my body, mentally slapping myself for thinking it was real.

"Milady! It's already 8 O'clock! You are suppose to wake up at 7 to get prepared! Her majesty will be expecting you at 8.30 for your lesson! "

PAUSE!

That. My friends, is Sonna, my personal maid. And well, also my closest friend :) She's a few years older than me, which allows us to get along well. She basically takes care of my well being, you know, like what maids in castles do.

PLAY!

"Urgh give me 5 more minutes sonna!"

"No, you are getting up right this instant. What kind of princess gets up this late??" she said as she pulled my blanket away and opened the curtains.

"it's eight the in morning!!"

PAUSE!

Oh and did I mention I am a princess?
Well, never mind, doesn't matter.

I'm not really a princess material anyway.

You see, I'm not really the type to wake up early nor speak elegantly like normal princesses.

As a princess you have to be polite, you have to be wary of your position at all times and you have to have table manners and blah blah blah. There is no freedom in it.

PLAY!

"Oh good, you are finally up. Milady please hurry to the bathroom and freshen up"

"Yes Sonna." I rolled my eyes and went to the bathroom to do my daily routine.

After that to my walk in closet as usual.
Pick what I want to wear and I'm off.

And as always, I would take a right, down the stairs then to my right again then to my left, then up the stairs and then.. Urgh, u get what I mean right??

The corridors, like castle are tall. Hmm like maybe about 4-5 meters tall? Its floors are carpeted and decorated with chandeliers. Windows on my right, rooms on my left. Window panels ranging from the floor to the ceiling.

And for those attempting to assassinate any of us through putting a bullet through the window, don't even think about it my friend, they're all bullet proof ;)

*sigh* after walking for a million years we're finally here!

Today I'll be given a lesson on sewing by non other than the most beautiful women, my mother, her majesty. :)

* KNOCK KNOCK *

" Mom it's me!"

The doors opened and inside sitting was her majesty on the couch with her personal maid and butler standing beside her.

Oh and, don't tell anyone but those are actually her body guards! I once saw them in action, they are really no joke! But I'm not suppose to know so help me keep it a secret okay? :P

"Xylem, I've been expecting you."

"Yes mother"

"Have you had your breakfast?" She asked looking at me.

"Yes I have mother, I'm ready for your lesson." Not that I can say no...

"Very well. Now let us begin."

And so, my busy schedule begins!

Oh yes, I've forgotten to mention where I live. I grew up in a place called Sing. It may not be the most beautiful name but it sure is the most beautiful country! We grow our own crops here, and supply ourselves with what we need. We've been living in peace with the rest of the world. Never had war.

We have politics here, but the royals carry more influence.

*THUNDER* *THUNDER*

Oh my god, is that the thunder??

Her Majesty: Oh my, the weather is getting bad isn't it Charles?

Charles is my mother's butler.

Charles: Yes it seems like it will be raining cats and dogs your Majesty.

Somehow I have a bad feeling about this...

Her Majesty: Make sure that cashmere is indoors.

Charles: As you wish your Majesty.

Cashmere, is my mother's beloved cat. Like you know the cat from Cinderella? Yea, Cashmere is like that. All he does is sleep, eat, get groomed, play, and probably chase mice, who knows? Basically, he's enjoying better life quality than any of us. A fat cat with no responsibilities, who doesn't wanna be like him?

*tik tok tik tok*

Readers POV

It was already 8.30 at night, thunders were as worst as it can get, so was the downpour and the Lightning.

Sing was covers in darkness as the only natural source of light was the Lightning;

The castle as well was filled with darkness, only to be lit by chandeliers hanging.

Xylem was walking along the corridor, on the way to find her father, his Majesty.

*THUNDER*

She ran as fast as she could until she reached her father's place.

"Father! Father where are you??" She screamed.

"I'm right here sweetheart, what's wrong? You look so pale. Why did you ran here?"

"Father!" she hugged him and started sobbing.

"There there, everything's fine now," he patted her head, "shhhh"

*sniff* *sniff*

"Th-there was a guy, h-he attacked me..." She managed to speak despite her sniffing.

"How did he looked like?" His Majesty asked with concern

"I don't know, the lights went out and it was dark and I couldn't see an-"

"Calm down sweetheart, everything's fine now. Why don't you follow marry for now? Take a bath and go to sleep ok? Everything will be fine tomorrow, I promise" he flashed a warm smile.

*sniff* "Okay..."

Marry was one of the maids.
One of those who knew to fight.

"Marry would you please take care of her?" He instructed.

"As you wish your Majesty" she replied, she understood what he meant. His Majesty wanted her to protect xylem.

"Clyde!" He spoke sternly as soon as xylem had left.

"Understood" Clyde bowed and left the room.

His Majesty sighed and rubbed his head.

'I don't know which of you is coming again. But this time you've gone too far as to hurt my daughter to the extend of bruising her. *sigh*...You'll have to pay the price Liam...'

His Majesty thought as he entered the chamber.

The chamber that was only meant for war.
