You had everything. A home, a family, friends and everything you could possibly think of. Your life in luxury ended sooner than hoped.
You were playing with your older siblings, Wendy and Sam. In your enormous yard lined with cherry blossoms and a great big fountain smack-damn in the middle. One day 2 Japanese men came to your father to "discuss" something, you were staring into the windows when this happened and you saw your mother run frantically around the house. She saw you, Wendy and Sam through the window. You were dragged away by my siblings as she mouthed the words, 'run far away '. Damn Wendy and Sam for being twice my age you could have saved her, in minutes of being traumatised you were already on Sam's back headed far, far away.
When you looked back the house was engulfed in flame. Tears ran down your face for the first time Wendy told you not to look back again because you would make Sam slow down, but all you wanted was to go back. Save mother and father with hope they were still alive.
A few hours later it was becoming dark and we were long past the house but had nowhere to go and no place to call home anymore. So you, Wendy and Sam found a meadow and made sure no one could see you, there Sam dropped me off his back and we slept.
Midnight passed and morning came faster than expected. As you woke you swatted my arms around to see if Wendy and Sam were still there but all you felt was wet, dewy grass.
