I have always thought that I was fragile,

That you were my knight,

And that you'd keep me safe

All the time.

But as lover's breakup would show

The time came

For you to leave my side

Not because you aren't able to protect me anymore

But you've found someone else to.

I thought it was long over for me,

That I'd be a helpless being forever

Hoping you'll be back on my side.

But with your absence,

I learned how to fight on my own

And with your absence,

It was there that I realized that it wasn't you who protected me

It was there that I realized it was the other way around,

And now you're teaching her what I've once taught you how.
