The Chase

You slowly walk back over to Fuyu before glaring at Yato. You sit down next to her and cough to get her attention.

"Fuyu I'm sorry but there has been a change in my plans.....so I'm going to have to cancel our play date.....but maybe I can come over to your house sometimes okay?" You quickly explained. She stared at you and nodded sadly.

"I'm sorry," you say sadly looking at the floor. You felt so bad for cancelling.

"Oh that's okay," she replied trying to sound happy but you knew she was disappointed. Fuyu got up and gathered the snacks and her stuff up.

Yato quickly pushed Yukine into a bush and then jumped in with him. Fuyu left and you felt sad.

"What the heck man!" Yukine yelled as he scrambled out of the bushes.

"Heheheheheh," Yato said as he rubbed the back of his neck. Yukine stomped inside but then saw you and calmed down.

He noticed that you were sad and depressed and gave you a hug.

"What's wrong?" He asked hugging you tighter. You shook your head because you didn't feel like speaking.

"You don't want to speak about it," he asked. You quickly nod your head. He released you from the hug and gave you a worried look.

"Okay. I'll be in the kitchen if you need me," he said as he walked into the kitchen.

"I'm sorry I had to cancel your play date with Fuyu," Yato mumbled quickly. You looked up at him and smiled.

"Its okay," you say with a wide smile. He stared at you blankly but then smiled.

"So can she see gods and regalias?" You ask as you sat down on the couch.

"Yep. She can't see phantoms though," he said while plopping down next to you.

"So does Yukine remember his sister?" You ask turning to Yato.

Yato nodded slowly.

"Its the only thing he remembers about his past life," he mumbled as he got back up and stretched.

"Well I gotta get going. I'm leaving you in charge of Yukine okay," Yato quickly said as he raced out the door.

"Hey Yukine! Want to play video games!?!" You call. His head poked out of the kitchen which made you laugh.

"Yeah!" He quickly exclaimed as he raced over to you. Before you could press start the door bell rang. You and Yukine groan.

"What is it Y-" you start as you open the door only to see Fuyu.

"Hi. I'm sorry but I left something here," she stated as she walked past me.

"Oh no! Yukine!!" You quickly think only to be too late.

"Yukine!?!?!" Fuyu screamed. Yukine jumped and stumbled back a bit. You helped him keep his balance and turned to Fuyu.

"Fuyu I can explain everything if you could please listen t-" "Why should I listen to you! I just met you!!!!" Fuyu interrupted. Your heart tore at her words.

"Just shut up and listen to what I have to say!" You yell angrily. Yukine is frozen in place and is just staring at Fuyu.

Fuyu just shook her head angrily and glared at Yukine.

"I thought you were dead!!!!" She screamed as she ran over and slapped Yukine across the face.

"I AM DEAD!!!" He yelled back angrily. Fuyu froze.

"Let (Y/N) explain it all please. Then you'll underst-" "NO!!" Fuyu interrupted and raced out of the house.

"Damn it!" You yell as you try to run after her. Yukine grabbed your arm and turned you around.

"You knew about her didn't you!" He yelled angrily. He gripped your arm tightly causing you to wince.

"Yes...I did," you mutter. He released his grip on your arm. You quickly hug him tightly.

"I'm sorry but let's go look for Fuyu okay," you whisper as Yukine hugged you back. He nodded and you both let go of each other.

You and Yukine race all over the place searching for Fuyu. You followed some foot prints that led you too a broken down house that was calling apart.

"FUYU!!" You and Yukine scream as you both race over to the house. Pieces were falling off. One almost landed on you but Yukine quickly pushed you out of the way landing on top of you. The peice of wood shattered as it hit the ground. A splinter sliced your cheek.

"You okay?" Yukine asked looking down at you. Your faces were so close so Yukine blushed and quickly got off of you.

"Here let me help," he said calmly as he wiped the blood off your cheek.

"Come on don't worry about me right now! We need to worry about Fuyu!" You quickly say as you stood up.

"Fuyu!" You scream. No reply.

"Fuyu!" You scream again.

"(Y/N)?" Asked a voice.

"Fuyu where are you!" You yell looking around.

"(Y/N)!! Behind you!" Yukine screamed. You turned around to see Fuyu with a plank of wood. The next thing you knew you felt pain on the side of your head and was knocked out.
