She was the flame within.

She was their briliant red.

She was the balance of his powers.

The light that warmed their hearts.

The guider to happiness in his lonely, cold world.

She was his most adored.

But now she's gone.

Year has passed since the accident that caused this.

And he still couldn't believe it.

Neither one of them still could not believe that it happened.

Oh, briliant red. Why did you leave them in this miserable, miserable world?

~~~~~~
He woke up by the light that crawled between the curtains in his dark room.
He tried to ignore the light and continue his journey inside his own world, his dreams.
Where he was happy.
Only there he could experience the happiness he had before...
The horrible accident.
'Mmm, my lazy King. It's time for you to get up'
He pouted, opening those wild, untamed amber eyes and slowly stood up from the comfy bed.
His feet touched the cold ground, but he ignored it as he was always warm.
His hand brushed through his messy, red as the flame hair, while he pulled out a cigarette from his jacket.
He watched through the window, the joy and happiness everyone experienced.
Those people were miserable.
They did not know what he and his clan experienced.
Sure they smiled, but it was never the same. Not after she had left their world.
He was a man, possessing the warm flame, yet again he had cold, made from the ice heart.
Couldn't he be the one to laugh and smile in this miserable, miserable world?
"One will fall, but shall never die, my love. I will always be with you, no matter what. I will be inside there." The coldness of the finger, covered in blood, could be felt as she touched his chest.
"My.... Akane..." (A/N: That also means Briliant Red in Japanese)
"Mikoto... Do me a.... Favor.... Please...." She chocked out with the last powers she had, feeling her eyes heavy.
He nodded. He couldn't do anything else right now.
His amber eyes, that showed for the first time emotion when he met her, were now teary.
His vision was blurry.
"Live in this world for both of us... Please... I will always be by your side when you need me..." She whispered.
"There is got to be a way you can stay, please tell me!"
"I'm so... rry... Mikoto. But it appears... That my time here... Is finished..."
"Akane!"
"Mikoto? Mikoto!" The eyes of the King immediately snapped out of the memory that he always went into, as he heard the voice of his friend, Izumo.
