After the kiss we keep playing. At about 7:30 we go to the water. I go in with Kayla, Hanna, Carrie, Ryan, Josh, Chris and Alex. It all started when Ryan throws Hanna into the water. Hanna has always had a crush on Ryan and I'm pretty sure Ryan likes her back but they somehow don't know they like each other. Then Kayla throws me in. Everyone else just sorta comes in. We jump around in the water for a little and then come back to the fire pit. My short brown hair now clings to my back making me cold. Thankfully my towel comes the to rescue when Hanna throws it onto me.
Chris ends up sitting next to me. As he sits down Hanna looks at me and nudges me while she raises her eyebrows. I elbow her and she laughs. Everyone else settles down.
"I'm bored." Carrie says bluntly.
"Oh I know!" Kayla says. She finishes off her Coke and waves the bottle. In horror I immediately know what she is suggesting.
"Really?" Alex says.
"Yes. We're playing spin the bottle." Carrie says with an evil grin. Next thing I know we move our towels away from the fire so we have room to spin the bottle.
Since Carrie came up with the idea she spins the bottle first. It only spun a little in the sand and points right towards Josh. She laughs and plants a small kiss on his lips. He laughs too and turns a little red.
Next Josh spins. It lands right on me. I really do not wanna kiss him. He grins and walks over. Then he puts his hand around my cheek and kisses me. I don't like it at all so I pull away and laugh awkwardly. I notice something in Chris' face that I haven't seen before. Is it, no. It looks like jealousy.
It's my turn to spin the bottle and I am blessed to get Chris. It's so close to Alex but isn't. He turns and looks at me. I look at him and go for it. It turns into a longer kiss and I'm surprised at my sudden boldness. We pull away and I feel my face overheating. We laugh and look away.
He spins the bottle and got Hanna. He places an extremely brief kiss on her lips and walks back. I wonder if he felt a spark between us like I did. The game keeps playing but all I can think about is how soft Chris' lips were. I want to lean on him and I want him to kiss my forehead and put his hand around my shoulder. This would really make my day but I resist. I feel the urge to pee so I get up and head inside to find the bathroom.
There's only one drunk person so far. Jenny. Jenny used to be my really close friend until she went of the wire. She gets drunk at every party she goes to. She also happens to go to a party basically every weekend. I pass her and head to the bathroom.
"Maddie!"
I turn around and see Chris coming towards me. When he reaches me he smiles.
"Hey, um do you... want my number?" He asks.
"Oh, yeah of course!" I say smiling.
He hands me a piece of paper with his name and number on it. I blush lightly. He grins slightly when he sees me blush.
"Well um yeah I have to go to the bathroom but I'll make sure to see you outside."
"Sounds good." He says and walks away.
Make sure to see you outside? What was I thinking jesus. After I use the restroom I walk back outside.
Chris smiles when he sees me and I sit back down next to him and Hanna. The night flies by and at about 11 people start to leave so Hanna and I leave. Our squad says bye and we make sure to make plans for lunch the next day. We get in the car and blast some more music. It's basically all we do.
When we get back to Emily's house I immediately pull out my phone and text the number.
