Victoria's POV
It has been a week since I went to Starbucks with Oliver. He did not knew about that little phone call session I had with Lewis. After that, we went in different directions; He went home to the Royal pack while I'd taken the bus back.We were currently having lunch in school. I was still ignoring the thoughts of Lewis. I couldn't confront him just yet. Perhaps we needed more time to cool off.
I played with my food, not having the appetite to eat anymore. The group shot glances at one another, and I could tell Megan was mind linking Heather. Although at times I do envy them for being able to mind link our pack, but getting your thoughts invaded wouldn't be the best of experiences.. so I might as well embrace my "inabilities" for now.
"Vic... what's wrong? Is it because of Lewis?" Megan asked and I tried to cover up my gloomy face with a forced smile. They knew about what happened the other time with Oliver.
"Victoria..." She sighed and Heather continued, "Maybe you should just try to talk to him or something? Perhaps a closure is what you need?" Do I? My mind was too weary to think at this moment.
"Maybe.. can we not talk about this? Let's go to class.." I said standing up to leave the group. They caught up with me soon and the girls rubbed my back comfortingly. I understood that they were all worried for me and that I have to do something about this eventually.
When I got to class, I started doodling on my foolscap papers and was already waiting for the lesson to end. I hated the fact that I was so distracted to function properly. It wasn't easy to act like I didn't care when all I wanted was to slam my head on a stonewall to release all that anger, frustration and stress out of my system.
Suddenly I beamed and rubbed my hands together excitedly. Um I can't wait till school's over!
-Time skips to after school-
I bolted to the front car park to find Megan, Heather and Keith. I previously texted them to meet me here when school was over. They noticed the big smile on my face and their eyes twinkled with anticipation. I waved and made my way through the crowded car park to look for them."Ok here's the deal guys. Remember when I said I wanted to be a pack warrior? Now's the perfect opportunity for me! I'm going to choose my weapon!!" I jumped up and down eagerly before turning to Keith.
"And Keith here, is gonna help me with my training. Aren't you Keith?" I asked him.
"Ehh sure.." He was slightly taken aback. "You can come over to the Royal pack and train there with me. Which weapon are you looking at?" He asked.
"Archery! I always wanted to learn that.." I replied. So the thing is, once a wolf shifts after turning 17, his/her pack will officially accept him/her as a pack member. They will establish a connection with the wolf, hence the mind link, and appoint a position to the wolf - Warriors, Hunters or Trackers. For pack warriors, they can choose a weapon they want to specialise in. So they can fight with that weapon in their human forms or fight bare in their wolf forms.
Although I wasn't a pack warrior, I wished to be one. Of course as for the Alpha, Beta and Delta positions, they would be appointed to the first sons. If not, the first daughters when they don't have sons. Like Megan's case, since she was the only child of Alpha Trenton, she would be appointed as Alpha Female of the pack. So her respective training was done with her father.
After asking Keith the favour, I explained to the group that I needed some sort of activity for me to focus on, and to channel away my frustrations. I thought taking up a new sports might clear my mind off things, and through learning archery I would be a step closer to actually becoming a pack warrior. All of them agreed on my plans and that made me proud.
