My phone chirped over and over.
I slid the green bar over and answered.
"Hellooo"
"Girl, wake yo ass up !" My girl Kendra said.
"Ken , its only 11'o Clock in the morning.. Leaveee me alone"
"I need to go to the mall and I want you with me, I know how excited you get about the mall Loni" she egged on.
Ken did have a point, when you rarely get to go anywhere except for work and home , you would get excited too right ?
"Okay ken, I'll be ready in an hour" I hung up.
Kendra was the only friend I had. She knew basically everything about me and ron. She been helping and holding us down since day one around here.
After daydreaming for another 10 minutes , I finally hopped off the bed and got in the shower. When i finished cleaning myself , I walked to the small closet and picked out something simple for today.
I settled on a pair of light blue ripped skinny jeans, a plain white tee, with my white converse.
I walked into the livingroom to check on Ron-Ron but he was gone.
"Probably to shad house", I thought out loud.
Ra'Shad is Ron bestfriend and homie. I don't know exactly how they met but they're been inseparable ever since.
"Honk !" "Honk !" I knew that was Kendra.
I grabbed my purse and which had my keys and phone in it, locked the apartment and left.

At the Mall
"Ooo Loni, this shit is fie!" Ken said about at shirt being all loud.
"Girl be quiet got all these folks staring and shit" I whispered.
"Guhh fuck them, this shirt ugly anyway" she said pulling me out the store.
We decided to stop at the food court for a rest. We wanted burger king and I wanted subway so we planned to sit at the middle table after we got our food.
While waiting in the subway line to order i felt someone's stare.
I turned around but I didn't see anyone.
"Welcome to subway, my name is mike, how can I help you ?" A cashier greeted me.
"Yes i would like a ham and cheese on white all the way" I smiled.
I paid him, got my receipt and sat at a nearby table waiting on my order.
"Wassup ma?"
I turned to see a darkskin boy with super bad acne and an ugly ass green shirt on.
He was trying to smile all in my face but his teeth were yellow asf.
"Umm, my food is wassup but you ain't" I smartmouthed as I got up because my order got called.
"Damn, lil ma it's like that?" He asked when I walked away.
I looked back before saying "sure is buddy, Adios ! "
I met Kendra at the table and she was halfway done with her waffle fries by the time I sat down.
"Damn K, done already?" I joked as I unwrapped my sandwich.
"Girl, you was with yellow teeth over there, could wait forever" she shrugged.
"I don't want him or anybody for that matter ken" i retaliated.
"Mmhm, girl you gone meet that perfect somebody one day" she said.
I rolled my eyes.
"Well let's finish up and dip , you know my shift start at 8 tonight."
"Well I'm done now so come on , you can finish at home" she said .
We got our bags and left.
