*RING*
"Its finally summer!" Nicole yelled with excitement
"Oh my god I know I can't wait to go up to the cottage, You're still coming right?" Her best friend Maggie asked.
"Of course ! I wouldn't miss it!"
"Ew move out of our way nerds..." Ashleen, the meanest girl in the 11th grade said as she pushed through the girls closesly followed by her equally mean followers.
"I'm also glad we don't have to see THAT for two months" Maggie said sounding disgusted.
Nicole jumped into her new car her mom had bought her for her 17th birthday and headed home. I just can't believe how horrible some girls can be she thought to herself. I wish there was some way I could teach her a lesson and show her she doesn't always have to be mean.
Ashleen was the richest girl in school and ever since middle school she had been harassing Nicole and her friends especially Maggie. Now that it was summer they finally got time away from the queen bi*ch and could relax in peace.
Right around the corner from Nicoles house was her favourite spot in the whole town ... The Library. She spend a majority of her free time either there or writing stories in her notebook. She loved to write and hoped to become a popular author someday. Nicole quickly turned into the library and parked her car. I'll just run in quick and return my book , maybe check out a few more for the next few weeks. She promised herself.
"Hello Nicole dear! Nice to see you again. Wasn't it the last day of school today?" The Librarian Mrs.Smith asked.
"Hello Mrs. Smith ! Yes it was, I just came to return my last books and get out a few more for the beach these next few weeks."
"You're done already ?! Weren't you just in here last week?" Mrs. Smith asked surprised
"Yes but I just love to read" Nicole stated as she piled her 5 extremely large chapter books onto the return counter of the desk.
Nicole headed back towards the horror section of the library. Horror was her favourite topic to read about. She loved the thrill of never knowing what happened next and the suspensefulness of the novels. As she approched her favourite section something caught her attention out of the corner of her eye.
The closet was open.. .What? That door was never open. Nicole headed towards the closet because she was extremely curious of what layed within it. As she approached the door she slowly walked in making sure Mrs. Smith and no one else saw her enter it. She slowly turned around and closed the door behind her paying close attention to being extremely quiet.
When the door was fully closed she turned around and saw the biggest surprised of her life. BOOKS millions of them .. All kinds on a ton of different shelves. She quickly approached a shelf and began scanning through the different titles and authors. Nicole couldn't believe her eyes, She hadn't even heard of many of these books.
*ding ding* Nicole quickly reached into her pocket to answer her cell phone
'Where are you? Supper is almost ready.' -mom
OH MY GOD! its already 5:00 where did the time go? Nicole quickly turned and headed towards the door but before she could reach it she came across another shelf labelled horror. She just had to check out these books before she left, Dinner and mom would have to wait. As she reached for a HUGE book on the highest shelf she hit another shelf by accident and books came crashing down around her.
*Woah..... Nicole woke later to see nothing but pitch black.. Why was the library so dark? What time was it ? How long had she been out? She ran towards the door and opened it...
"This isn't the library?!" Nicole cried as she ran out into a busy street. What the heck. Everyone walking down the street looks exacatly the same... Where am I?
