Meeting Barbara

So let's just jump on in to this. If anything needs to be explained or you just have a question, leave a comment, and I'll try answer at the end of the next chapter.

I'm Sasha, and today I'm 15. Yay me, right? No! I got into another fight, mostly because the other kids wouldn't leave me alone. You see, I've never liked my birthday for one reason, and one reason only: It was the day I was abandoned by my parents. The day of my third birthday.

I was told to pack my stuff, again today. I didn't even listen though. What's the point when you know you're staying where you are? I walk down the stairs and into the meeting room. I stopped in the door when I saw who was there to adopt me. Blonde hair and blue eyes were looking at me. It was a woman, and she was beautiful. She had an Achievement Hunters beanie, and an Achievement Hunters jacket on.

"Hi! You Sasha?" She asked me, to which I nodded. "Tell me a little about yourself, please." She said, I guess she didn't want to say anything to make me not like her. "I get beat up a lot, I'm good in a fight, I was abandoned at the age of three, and lastly I like girls." Was all I said, waiting for her to ask for another kid. "Well, I guess that last part is just a part of who you are!" She smiled at me. Wow! She wasn't asking for another kid yet. This is a new record for me.

"You're not gonna ask for another kid?" I asked stupidly. "Of course not. I've already made my decision. Why don't you go and pack your stuff, okay?" She said with a big smile. I nodded, "Sure thing..........Puntress." I said walking out of the room and up the stairs. Be for I got around the corner to the stairs, I heard I faint 'nailed it' come from the woman. When I came back the woman was waiting for me at the entrance.

"Ready to go?" She asked, to which I just nodded. I put my stuff in the back seat of her car, and sat in the front passenger seat, waiting to get away, only to come back some days later. "Where would you like to go?" She asked. "Do want something to eat?" Before I could answer her, my stomach decided it wanted to be noticed, and growled loudly. I looked out the window of the car, a blush on my cheeks. She must have seen the blush, because she gave a small laugh. "Right, so you need something to eat." She said with a chuckle.

After that, it was silent, so I got out my notebook, and started writing. It wasn't long before we pulled up to a Subway. I've never been to one, so it's kinda strange for me. "Hey, you coming or what?" She said, looking at me as she was about to get out. "Sure." Was my answer. As I got out she started to explain some stuff to me. .

"So if you haven't figured it out yet, I'm Barbara. I work for RoosterTeeth." She told me.

I nodded, I knew that. As we walked in, the smell of delicious food hit me harder than any of the kids that used to take my food. "What would you like?" Barbara asked, giving a small chuckle at how I was acting. "What can I get?" I said, almost ready to take all the food in the place. Barbara put a hand on my shoulder and led me over to the line. "How many would you like?" She asked me. "Also, what kind would you like?" "Two. Pizza. Extra pepperoni." I said instantly. I was, in fact, starving. I couldn't wait to get to where Barbara lived, because, once there, I'm going to devour the food I asked for.

Once we got there, I was amazed at the fact that she lived in an apartment. Let alone an apartment 10 minutes away from the RoosterTeeth Headquarters. "C'mon, Sasha. Don't you want to eat?" She joked. I liked her, but I wasn't about to let her in, just so she can dump me back at that orphanage. I nodded and followed her up to her apartment. Once there, she showed me to my room so I could put my stuff in there, then we sat down in the living room area and started to eat. By the time she was halfway done with her sub, I was starting on my second one. She turned on the TV and started flipping through channels. I saw something funny, so I spoke up. "Can we watch that?" I asked. She went back one channel and put the remote down.

"This one?" She asked in return. I nodded, and continued to eat as we watched TV. After we finished eating I yawned. "Time for bed, kido." She told me, helping me up. I only nodded, and leaned against her as she helped me to my room. She pulled back the cover for me, and I climbed in to bed. She messed up my hair, "Night kido. Tomorrow is gonna be fun." She said as I fell in a deep sleep.

The next morning, I was awoken by a cold rag being thrown on my face. I gave a small chuckle, it was kinda funny. "Come on and get dressed, Sasha. I'm taking you to work with me today." I groaned but dragged myself out of bed and put on some clean clothes. I put on my plain black T-shirt, some black skinny jeans, some red socks, and a red and black beanie. After gathering up some of my things, we put on our shoes then left the apartment. I asked if we could walk there, and she said yes.

When we got there, before we went in, I took the hair bow from my wrist and put my hair in a low ponytail. Barbara smiled and led me inside the building. When we got in, I stayed behind Barbara. I didn't know what to say to anyone, so when asked a question, Barbara answered for me. I met Gavin, Micheal, Lindsay, Geoff, Ray, Jack, and Burnie. I got along with Gavin and Lindsay, almost instantly. It was kinda funny, to be honest. I didn't talk much, but when I did, I asked a simple question. "Can I play something on the Xbox?"
