5:30am and the sun is starting to peek over the horizon. All of Pittsburgh is quiet. Well, almost quiet.

"Nia! Point those feet!" Abby yelled from across the room. Nia knew that she had to push herself, but she couldn't, she could barely keep her eyes open. The door slowly opened revealing Gianna; her hair was loosely curled falling down past her shoulders and she wore a red laced knee-lengthed dress. Nia looked at her in awe, she never saw Gianna dress up so much.

"Abby?" Gianna timidly spoke as she slid silently into the room.

"Much better," Abby said, her face lighting up as she saw Gianna. "Did I not tell you, when you make the effort you really are stunning?" An 'I told you so' kind of look spread across her face as she pulled Gianna into a hug. "Now, do you think Nia is ready to perform?"

"More ready than she'll ever be" Gianna said, grinning in Nia's direction. She gestured for Nia to come over, and before she had a chance Abby pulled Nia in to join with the hug.

"I'm so proud of you Nia, you know that right?" Abby looked Nia in the eye as she spoke "It's why I'm so hard on you, look where it has got you, this dance is amazing!"

"Thank you" Nia replied, almost confused at her teacher's reaction. They stayed for a moment longer in the hug before Abby broke away.

"Right then, we'd better get the others and get on the bus then, shouldn't we?" Abby said, brushing down her rhinestoned 'Abby Lee Dance Company' shirt. "Come on."

The three walked through to the Dancer's Den to see the other girls sitting with suitcases and packing their make-up and costumes neatly inside. Nia walked over to her mother who was busy sewing the finishing touches on her solo costume. Her mother did not stop talking about her 'Goodbye Maya' solo and it frustrated Nia, but she knew that her Mom was just proud of her.

"Gianna! Oh my gosh you look amazing!" Melissa's voice was heard entering the room as Gianna looked up to see her, Melissa pulled her into a hug. "Spencer is going to be so happy to see you!"

"I know, I can't wait either" Gianna replied. Spencer and Gianna had both dance at the Abby Lee Dance Company together and were very good friends before Spencer went to high school in Rosewood. "Maddie and Kenz must be very excited to see her too".

"Oh we are!" Maddie piped in, her cheeks were a rosy colour from practising her solo in studio B. "My sister is planning to try and become America's best lawyer!" A big grin splashed across her face as she spoke about her sister. She leant against the wall to steady herself.

"Maddie!" Abby barked "What have I told you about leaning against walls?"

"Sorry Miss Abby, I'm just really excited!" Maddie replied, her head hanging slightly from her reprimand.

"Right, everyone do I have to go through the rules again?" A chorus of no's groaned out as Abby stood, poised with her hand on her hip glaring at each individual child and then every mother. "Good. And Moms, if I hear any arguments with Cathy and her Candy Apples you can hit the road, remember... Everyone's replaceable." As the Moms rolled their eyes Abby turned to leave the Dancer's Den and pulled her suitcase from behind the desk.

"Come on girls, let's go and get on the bus" Kelly eventually says taking Paige's hand and handing Brooke her suitcase handle. The other Moms and girls began to gather their things heading towards the door. All the girls settled on the bus plugging in their headphones and starting up movies on their iPads.

"Bus Driver! Remember to take the backroad as the highway's blocked!" Abby's voiced barked towards the front if the bus.

Jill, Holly, Christi, Melissa and Kelly all turned and looked at each other. This was going to be one long weekend.
