I got to school and gave the letter to Chantell, she only smiled at me when she took it. We sat at one of the tables that was facing the front entrance of the school when Donavan came walking by greeting us, he usually greet Chantell and Macy because they were in the same register class in the mornings. I greet him as well but only with a smile and a nod of my head.

Drop dead gorgeous I tell you. My nerves were in pieces and Chantell haven't even put the letter in his book yet. I feel my heart beating at a thousand beats per millisecond. My hands are sweaty and I think I might throw up because of the damn stress. The bell goes and we get up to gather in the assembly court, they announced.

There will be a Valentine's dance Friday night in the hall.' Great, maybe I will have a date maybe not.

'BUT' what ....! but? there's no buts in a dance except everyone else's butts. I thought to myself.

'It will be a masked Valentine's dance. Every one needs to have masks for entry at the door, otherwise no one will ve allowed in.' WHAT? Are they serious? How the heck will I know who is who. I know most of the kids in school but they don't know me, I'm the quiet type that observe. Man I hate this school and there weird ways of school dances. The last dance of last year the theme was 1800's I mean really? We're living in the 20th century.  I swear we live in a freak school.

After all the announcements were done we went to our classes. Heart palpitations, I swear the whole class can hear my heart beating. I'm busy biting my nails, I should stop it won't look nice on friday. The bell rang for first period. I walked to my biology class. When I look out the window I can see Chantell's English class and just then Donovan walked in. My nerves are shot. He will be getting his letter now.

The first 2 periods went by slowly, I want to see Chantell so I could ask her about Donovan's facial expression. Was he surprised, angry, did he read it or not. We had a 15 minute break before our next two classes. When the bell rang I flew out the class, I caught up to Chantell on the stairs and pulled her into the closest restrooms.

'So how did he look when he got the letter?'

'Calm down Clara. He smiled when he opened his book. He sit in the back of the class two desks away from me. When he read it he was smiling all the way. Don't worry I think he might like what he has read.' She patted my arm. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding in.

'Okay, and you didn't saw if he left a letter back in the book?' I asked eagerly.

'Well!' She said and pulled her face. I went bleak at that.

'What?'

'I did find this' she pulled out a folded letter from inside her blazer pocket. I shreaked and jumped up and down. You b*tch, you made me sweat like a pig and worry.' I took the letter from her and put it in my pocket.

'Aren't you going to read it?'

'Nope, will read it when I get home later.' I grinned at her and winked, kissed her on the cheek and left to go to my next class.

School was a drag, I kept to my word to read it at home, you never know if he had a spy to see who was reading it. But thepat letter burned a hole in my pocket.

I flopped myself on the bed. And took out the letter. I opened it carefully almost as if it would bite me.

Dear Secret Admirer

Thank you for the letter, I really appreciate it and think it's actually cute. I've never written a letter to someone before only text or phoned people. But this is something new to me.
