Amelyn arrived at Brightwall after being ambushed by a pack of wolves. She wondered why anyone even travelled here with all the bandits and wolves but she knew slaying them saved the lives of innocent travellers. She wandered through the village looking for the academy. She noticed that most of the villagers were begging just as the dwellers in Mistpeak. She gave some of the beggars the rest of her money dividing it among them. They thanked her and pointed her towards the academy. She saw the enormous building at the edge of town. She had never seen anything like this outside of the castle considering she wasn't permitted to leave. She had heard of the academy her mother told her stories of how she founded the academy. Her brother also used to visit the academy when he supported it before he became a tyrant. She made her way towards the giant wooden doors she took a deep breath before opening them too see a long hallway lined with shelves lined with books there were piles of books scattered amongst the ground. She could see a desk at the end of the hallway and an older man leaning on it he appeared to be reading a book. She slowly walked down the hallway until she reached the desk. The man began to speak. "The library is closed by order of the king we don't serve drinks we don't sell chicken feed please leave before the soldiers believe you are gaining any real knowledge." The man continued to look down so she held her hand to her face and made a coughing noise. "Oh- sweet papyrus a real visitor I-I'm afraid I was speaking the truth king Logan had closed the academy I-I'm little more than a custodian these days." Amelyn quickly reached for the guild seal she had in her pack. She held it up showing it to the librarian. "Is that the guild seal." He seems genuinely perplexed. "Th-Then you must be." He paused. "The princess." Amelyn finished his sentence. "Of course I'm Samuel." He started walking down another book filled hallway Amelyn followed. "Your mother told me someone would come here bearing the guild seal but I never thought it would be in my life time." He continued talking as Amelyn followed quietly behind him examining how large the rooms and doors were. She hadn't seen a building this big since she left the castle. "Here we are this is the door to the reliquary I can't tell you how many scholars have tried opening this door, but I knew only one thing could open it." Amelyn looked at Samuel then moved to the door and put the seal in its place. The door began to open causing the room to shake she could hardly keep her balance. She took a deep breath and looked into the long hallway made of ancient stones as she began her decent into the place that would decide her fate.
