"Liv!" Cassie called for what seemed like the twentieth time.
"I'm coming!" I shouted from my bed. I peeled my body from the sheets. I really wasn't a morning person. The idea didn't appeal to me. If I was allowed, I would start my day at about one everyday.
But... I was excited. Today was my chance. My chance to make it big. Well... Not big... I could never do that. Even if I had the chance. But... It was close to big, at least to me.
You see, I was offered to audition for a agency. Not a big agency. But on with reasonably small productions. They would never find me here. Which is why my mother agreed. I still had to practically perform a monologue to persuade her. Cassie still thinks its dangerous though. But.. It's my only chance. So who cares?
I smoothed down my sheets and make sure my bed was made in the correct order. After I fluffed my pillows, I pranced over to my desk. I had my outfit prepared last night. My black skater skirt, a crisp white blouse and my black blazer.
"Livie, how long does it take?" Cassie shouted impatiently.
"I'm said I'm coming, didn't I?" I yelled down the stairs. After one last look in the mirror, I checked for any mistakes. All seemed up to perfection.
I flew down the stairs to see Cassie tapping her foot impatiently.
"Come on! And aren't you a bit formal for a audition?" She questioned.
"Cass. Your meant to be my best friend. Not my mother." I laughed as I smoothed down my skirt.
The drive to the audition went a lot longer than it should of. Cassie got lost and I was 10 minutes behind my schedule. It started in 20 minutes. That's not enough time to prepare! I barely had enough time in the first place.
"Good luck Liv!" Cassie shouted encouragingly.
"I won't mess it up?" I asked nervously.
"You? Mess it up? You've probably planned out exactly what he's going to say" She joked.
I rolled my eyes and giggled as I went in. This was my time to shine.
"Hello, and you are?" A man asked as I walked through the doors.
" Olivia Turner, I'm here to audition?" I told him.
"Ah the audition. Mr Russell is very glad to see you. I will send you in straight away." He smiled politely.
"But... It doesn't start for 18 minutes! I.. I need to prepare!" I panicked.
"Sweetheart, it's okay. You will be fine. He isn't busy at the moment and I doubt you want to be stuck in here for 20 minutes." He calmed me down.
I guess he was right. The room.. Wasn't the nicest. The yellow paint was peeling and I could tell that germs were invading the place. I needed to get my hand gel out.
"Ok... I guess." I stuttered.
The man lead me into a large room, pitch black.
"Although the place is disgusting, I would say this makes it worthwhile." He told me as he flicked on the switch.
