Introduction ~ Hi, I'm Carson! This is me (above): I have dirty blonde hair, blue eyes, and braces. I'm almost 12 and going into sixth grade.

Today was our big moving day. 3 days from now was my first day at my new school in North Carolina. I was born and raised in a small Mississippi town. I went to a private school and was great friends with all of the 20 kids in my grade. Last night I got to give them all my goodbyes. Now, I am going to begin middle school in a public school in Charlotte. It's going to be a big change!

"Carson," my mom called as I laid in bed, or what was left of it, texting my friends. "Get down here! Help me get everything into the moving truck!". I got up and put on some comfortable athletic clothes that I had laid out the night before. I brushed my teeth and hair and put on deodorant before packing them into ziplock bags to put it my suitcase.

"Hey, mom," I said as I got downstairs. I looked around at the bare house. "Wow," I said, I've never seen this place so empty before." My mom told me to help her load the last suitcases into the uHaul and we hopped the car. We turned around and took one last look at our house, and then went on. It was time to start a new life.

Me and my mom talked as we drove down the highway. She told me that she thinks I am going to love my new school, and then she remembered something. "Oh, Carson! I meant to tell you. One of my old work friends, Miss Avery lives here. She has a son your age who is going to your school. He is also just transferring for private school. Avery says she thinks you two will be great friends." I thought about this for a moment. "Cool," I replied. "What's his name?" I asked my mother.
"His name is Peyton. Here, let me pull up a picture of him." She handed me her phone with a Facebook picture on Amy's profile of the boy. He was tall and he wore a green Under Armour shirt. I had to admit, he was pretty cute! I got a little excited. As I handed the phone back to my mom, her phone buzzed. "Oh! Amy just invited us to dinner tonight. How nice of her. Now you can meet him."

Fast forward to our arrival ~
I stepped out of the car and looked our new house up and down. It was pretty nice, and looked really convenient for me and my mom. It had white bricks and two levels. I ran to the house and up the stairs and found a nice room. I studied the room and decided where I would put my stuff. I then got a buzz on my phone.

hunter😍: Hey r u there yet?
summer🐷: I want to see your room!

I was happy to show them my room. I gave them a tour of our house and then hung up, as I had to go help unload. Then a though hit me. How am I going to have a long distance relationship with Hunter? I'm not sure how
well this will work out....
