(Bishamon's POV)
"Kazuma!" The pain was still sharp, like a thousand needles were stabbing my ear.
I managed to choke out his name and he returned to human form, crumpled on the ground. Sweat was beading on his face and he stared at me with large magenta eyes.
Kazuma was my partner. He was my pride and joy. My best friend. If anything happened to him, I'd practically die.
I turned to Yato and that creepy new Shinki of his. He looked shocked too, blue cat-like eyes glued to Kazuma's shaking body.
The god of calamity spoke slowly, obviously shaken. "Ts-Tsuki? What was that?" He murmured her name and the girl that Kazuma had shown me appeared before me.
She was clad in a long white robe, I noticed, and her (e/c) eyes pierced me, staring into my soul.
Kazuma's gaze was on her as well, and he clutched his chest with a tight fist, as if in pain. But from what? Everything that was happening around me wound me in circles, and I glared at Yato, taking a threatening step closer to him.
"What did you do to my Shinki, god of calamity?!"
He glanced up at me, looking surprised, before the usual devilish smirk crossed his face. "Ah, just my new trick. Right, Tsuki?" Yato glanced at the girl, whose eyes flashed to him. She seemed dangerous, and I stepped back.
"That was a Mind Piercer." She explained calmly, the wind picking up strands of her (h/c) hair, gracefully swaying it away from her face. Her piercing eyes turned to me. "Don't touch Yato ever again, or else I will destroy him." A slender hand appeared from the opening of her sleeve, pale skinned finger pointed to Kazuma.
The tone in her voice scared me, and I knew she was serious.
Kazuma seemed to be doing better now. He wasn't shaking, and he was kneeling instead of laying on the ground. Still, fear was embedded in my heart, and I knew now that the Yato god had a power beyond his control lying in his hands.
Kazuma's gaze was glued to the girl, and I knew she had done something to him. Her own gaze was steady on Yato, who finally jerked his head to indicate their departure.
As soon as the two had disappeared into the foggy night, I let out a cry of relief, falling to my knees next to Kazuma. "I'm so glad you're okay..." I said quietly, wrapping my arms around him.
He didn't hug me back, and I saw how his eyes were focused on the last spot where that strange girl had been seen.
