I put my hamster cage on my dressing table. Flynn sat on my bed with Fluffy. He couldn't stop smiling at it.

"I have to put him away now,"I walked over to him.

"Awe,"Flynn frowned putting the hamster in my hand. "Why?"

"Because you're giving him too much attention." I put Fluffy in the cage.

"You're jealous,"Flynn smiled.

"I'm not,"I walked over to him and crawled unto the bed. "In fact...I think you should go home."

"Why?"

"I just wanna take a rest. You know what's going on with me today. I just want some time alone. You know? Some space."

He got up. "I get it. I'll give you space."

"I hope you're not mad."

"I'm not,"he walked over to the door. "I'll see you tomorrow."

"See you to-"

He walked out of the room.

"-morrow."

Flynn got out of my car and walked off. When I said I wanted space I didn't mean, ignore me when I talk to you and walk off on me. This went on for the rest of the week and into the weekend. My period was over and it was still going on. I didn't realize that Flynn took things so literally.

I got put of the car, ran after him and grabbed his arm. "Hey,"I swung in front of him,"Are you freaking kidding me right now?"

"What?,"he looked down at me.

"How long do you think a girl's period lasts? When I side I needed some space, I meant for one night. I meant for sleep. What is your problem?"

"I just...I was nervous with the whole thing. It's hard when you're trying not be immature about it."

"It?"

"Harley, I have four brothers. Whole menstruation thing isn't easy for me."

"You tried so hard before. You never even noticed it when I had it before. You can handle it now....You know what? Next time I won't tell you, okay?"

"No. Tell me. I'm a part of this. If you need space, I'll give you space but when you want me there, I'm there. When you need things I'll get them for you."

I smiled. "That's sweet but-"

"No buts, Harley. I'm here for you, period or no period."

"I'm here for you too,"I looked up at him.

He looked down at me with dazed eyes.

Flynn lifted me up against the wall of the storage room. I could've sworn he would've eaten my mouth off. He kissed my neck and started lifting my shirt.

"Flynn,"I put my hands on his shoulders.

He put me down.

"I can't do this."

"Do what?"

"I'm a Christian. I told you before. I'm waiting till marriage."

He sighed. "I wouldn't do that to you in a storage room...and I respect your beliefs."

"I can't..be tempted either. I think we should stay in crowds because,"I grabbed his belt,"I don't think I can't hold it."

He kissed my forehead. "Like I said, I respect your beliefs. Now let's get out of here before we both do something we'll regret."

I nodded.

We walked out of the room and went our separate ways.

"Are you gonna lose it to him?,"May leaned closer putting her elbows on the cafeteria table.

"No,"I shook my head. "If we get married, yes but..I'm not going to do that....What was it like for you?"

"It was....,"she looked down,"I'm glad I lost it to Hayden. Let's just leave it at that."

"Come on May. Tell me what it was like."

She took a while. "It was amazing."

"That's all?"

"Yeah,"she flashed a smile at me.

I couldn't tell if she was lying to me or not but I knew that something was off about her.

"Well,"I scratched my head,"I can wait till my honeymoon."

"If you even get married."

"What?"

"Many people don't bother to get married. They become too busy with life to focus on other people. That's why you gotta live in the now."

"Sex can wait, May. It's not running away from me."

"So many young people die virgins."

"Well, I guess I'll die a virgin."

"What if Flynn gets tired of waiting?"

"Flynn's not even with me."

"Exactly-"

"You know what? This conversation is over. My decision is final. I'm not gonna let you put crap in my head, May."

"Okay,"she shrugged. "Just know that I'm trying to prevent you from regrets."

I shook my head and pushed my tray aside. "I've lost my appetite." I quickly got up.

My mind started making twirls. What if May was right? Of course she wasn't right. The bible clearly states that it's better to wait till marraige.

I opened my locker and took out my jumbo pen I got from my church youth study group. I know it's weird. Pens with bible verses about virginities. My pastor got them customized, so that they could be a reminder. I looked at the pen.

"Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous. Hebrew 13: 4"

I stared at the pen for a while. "What if I just did it and then asked for forgiveness later?...That would be so-"

"Hey,"Flynn stood behind me.

I jumped, dropping the pen. I quickly picked it up. "Hey,"I looked at him. "What's up?,"I hid it behind my back.

"I'm just checking up on you. Saw you march out of the cafeteria like you were about to fight world war III."

I fake laughed.

He furrowed his brows at me. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine. Let's go back into the cafeteria, okay?"

He smiled and nodded.

As we reentered the cafeteria, I looked at my pen. It might not be that bad of a sin. I threw the pen away. Regrets? What regrets?
