chapter 3: My fiancee?

Alyssa's P.O.V

I went home and my parents are already wait for me. But, my grandfather is here? Oh, Ashon is here too. I kiss my mom's cheek, hug my grandpa and fist bum Ashon .

'Grandpa? you're here?' I ask but he just smile.

'Okay... now I will start first'. Mom start her speech as soon after I had my seat on the couch. 'You know, our company is now in a good condition. Very good condition. So to maintain the reputation, we will cooperate with the Kang's Company'.

'You know that company right?' mom ask and I nod. I'm the next heir of the Jung's Company after mom and dad so I'm trained since I'm kid about business but little by little.

'So now... the company depends on you...'

'Huh?' I raised my brow.

Mom were changing glances between dad and granpa. Why is that?

'So... we're planning that you'll be marrying  with their son.' She said that while look straight into my eyes.

'What?!' I asked in disbelief. 'Mom, I'm still young! I'm not ready with this. What about Ashon?'

'Hey, do you wanna  Ashon marry their son?' mom said and all person in the living room laugh except me. 'Their daughter already married last year.'

I look at my grandpa, asking for help but he just smile. Why he is only smiling today?

'That's why we're doing this in one condition' mom continue again.

'What condition?'

'It's going to happen for one year'.

'What?! One year? That's so long!' I look at my dad and grandpa. 'Grandpa... dad.... help me... ' I whined.

'You can do it, Alys...' Ashon tap my shoulder and smile.

'It's gonna be okay dear... hey,it is just for one year'. My dad said that and smile? You can even smile when your daughter is in trouble right now?

'And one more thing...' at last my grandpa start to speak. 'I want to see you being safe and happy with someone I trusted before you know...I'm old already... just waiting for time to...'. Aish..my grandpa saying this kind of thing already.

'Granpa! Don't say like that...' I pout at him.

'I know him...he is a good guy' grandpa added.

'So... had a think of it. Tomorrow they will come here and you'll be betrothed'. Mom speak again. 'So now, go up and get ready for dinner'.

'Hmm... okay' I stand up and walk lazily to my room.

After dinner, I go straight to my room. My mind is miserable right now. I lay on my bed.

Of course I don't want to do it but thinking of my grandpa... I really love him. When I was a kid, he always bought me to the company even though he's busy. He's a very busy businessman . I played in his office. Everyone in the company knows me and I always greet them. My parents started to expose me in business when I'm 14. I think I like it. I'm the one that have to do it. Ashon already had a girlfriend. Lee Min Young. Ugh...why don't I have a boyfriend earlier? Nevermind...I don't like boyfriend though. Amelyn was too young. She's only 5. Huh... take it positively Alyssa! It's only for a business. I'm not going to fall in love with him! But how if I did? Arrrrgh!!!

There's a knock. And Ashon come in. I'm changing to a sitting position. Ashon sit near me.

'You okay, Lys?' He ask me.

'Do you think I am?' I glare him.

'Hey, it's gonna be okay...'

'Yeah...yeah...Ashon...'

'You know what? You always tease me with Min and now... you gonna experience the same thing'. Yeah, I admit it but I'm not teasing it that much.

'It's not the same thing! You love her but I'm not. I'm forced'. It's frustrating!

'Yeah... I know what you're feeling right now...I'm always support you... you're my another half forever, right? Alyssa Fighting!!' He smiled and I can't help but did the same. Yeah...my twin brother always give me a warm words. I hug him.

He broke the hug and stood up then bid me a goodnight and went out of my room.

But a moment later, my mom entered.

'Hello, dear. Not sleeping?' she sat beside me.

I shook my head.

'My dear is already grown up'. She gave me her warm smile. 'She's gonna have a fiancée soon'. And then, a tear drop from her eye.

I wipe her cheek. 'Mom, why are you crying?' I can't stand it. Especially when my beloved was crying.

My tears drop too. She wipe it away. 'I'm sorry, dear'. Why is she apologizing?

'Don't be, mom. I'm okay.' I hug her. Of course I'm not okay. I feel safe in her embrace. I feel warm. I cried in her arms. And the last thing I know I feel asleep in her warm arms.
