Prologue

Everyone is screaming, running everywhere I look. People are laying on the ground, having what would be described as a seizure. Bodies jerking, their arms and torso compulsively twisting and shooting their backs up, arched painfully.

I can hear people screaming in the distance, with fear or in pain, along with the sounds of the police cars and ambulances on their way to control this chaos.

Suddenly a man picked itself off the ground and stood up with a strange stillness. As if suddenly aware of his surrounding he turns around towards me and runs at a speed no human should be capable of.

Then suddenly he stops, as quickly as he had begun, and started with the compulsive jerking motions again. Then the man stood up, after falling down from another seizure, and I scream.

After he had fallen to the ground, in his second seizure, he stood up with four arms and doubled torso with three eyes on his forehead.

Instead of the weird stillness, he had now an animalistic posture, crouched down and growling like a gross overgrown dog. Too scared to run, I stand there, watching.

He, no it, snarled and crouched on all fours, or all six, and once again starts towards me at an abnormal speed.

As I got out of my trance-like state I run as fast as my legs can carry me and then the person, or the thing, tackles me to the ground. I lay on my back to have a better chance of fending off the thing that got me. I find the thing trying to grab and, as it appears, bite me.

I think as I try to push him off of me. Then I look at him closely and can't help but feel sick as the third eye is watching me. Wide and with barely any iris showing. It was like staring into terrible darkness that wanted to consume me.

As I finally muster enough strength to push him off me he leans toward my neck.

I was quickly losing strength and the thing was much stronger than I was.

It slowly nears my neck and I am faced with the thought that I can't push it off when it goes limp. I roll it off and see a little girl with a metal bat. She extends her hand as I lay there, dazed. I finally manage to push grab her hand and she hoists me up.

"Thank you. You saved my life." I said, just realizing how close I was to dying.

"No problem," she says. Then she turns to walk down the alleyway, into the chaos of the city.

"Wait," I call, " What's your name?"

"Madison." she says with a small smile. And, with that, she runs out of the alleyway and into the chaotic, destroyed, and cannibalistic city

'Good Luck, Madison.' I think looking back into the city.
