Ethereal Eternity Online

Chapter 2: The Secret

    As Trerend and Michelle are teleported into the city circle.  They notice that the sky has changed to night.  They are surrounded by all of the other people that have gotten into Ethereal Eternity Online.  All of a sudden in a flash of lightning a huge Person arose surrounded by a black robe.  He said "Thank you all for playing Ethereal Eternity Online."  "I am the creator of this game,  Marshall Kajima".  Whispers arose around the crowd.  "Is it really him?"  "I heard of him he is a genius."

    Trerend could only stare in shock at the cloaked figure.  One person said" It's just a hacker!".   Murmurs appear around the crowd.  Another person, a girl say"Yeah, how should we believe you!"  Trerend noticed that the girls name is Faryn.  Shouts arose,  Trerend and Michelle hears a person say "SHOOT HIM DOWN!"  Fireballs started to explode against him.  Trerend notices an HP bar, but nothing seemed to hurt him.  "DO YOU REALLY THINK THAT THOSE PUNY SHOTS WILL HURT ME!"  as he drew a staff from his robe and shot everyone in the circle with lightning.  Everyone became limp.  "Now, for all of you who are wondering why is there no Logout button this is not a bug,  this is a true feature of Ethereal Eternity Online.  I repeat this is not a bug.  Now there are two rules that you must oblige to leave this world.  ONE you must beat all 270 floors of Ethereal Eternity Online.  AND you must not die three times or the full dive equipment... will destroy your brains."  "Now for those who are wondering why you are here... you all have something to live for, when you go back,  the person you care for might even be here with you, and for all of you who decided to make your character a girl good luck!  BWAHAHAHAHA!".  A light flashed and about a half of the girls became boys and everyone became what they actually looked like in real life.  Trerend overheard a person say"Your Not a Girl!"  and another say"Your not 16!".  "Also"said Marshall,  "Every day for the next 45 days a unique skill will appear."Then a surprised look appeared on everyone as they hadn't noticed Marshall leave.  That's when everyone started screaming.  "NOOOOOOOOO"  said everyone as they realized what just happened.  Trerend said to Michell"Well this means we have to get stronger."  That day Trerend and Michelle went to the arcane forest to train.  Michelle asked Trerend "Why don't you change back to your real name?"  Trerend sighed and then said" It is a reminder that I am different and what I am fighting for."  Michelle asked what is that as they killed another bee.  Another status appeared.  This one is the one for Michelle.

Michelle gasped as she saw these stats.  She said to Trerend " Well this is three quarters of your starter weapon."  Trerend looks at his weapon named Clarity.  He thought to himself"Why did I get such a good weapon at the start.  Then they noticed a cave.  Trerend opened his inventory "Well that is an extra dungeon other than the floor bosses.  This was when they entered the cave.  Immediately they we're confronted from a skeleton warrior.  It was in extreme aggro.  Trerend and Michelle tried to flee but they couldn't.  Michelle then said" Guess we have to fight,  SPIRAL SHOT!"  This is one of the few actual magic attacks she could use without her sword.  The skeleton was buffeted by wind into the ground and such.  It only did 10% damage. 

Trerend then heard a scream down the hallway. Michelle screamed "Come back as she ran towards him" Why did you run!?!?!?!?!" Trerend then saw her health bar. It was 50%. She screamed" I was against a level 50 monster in a dungeon by myself!" She shouted. She had some common sense though and she decided to stay with him. "I'll help you save this person. They ran down and saw the boss room. They decided to open it and inside was the remains of a raiding party. Only three people were left and all of them we're swordsmen demibeasts. They were just evading the blows from the boss... The Skull Crusher. They decided to help. "Lightning Aura!" Trerend Screamed as his body became incased with a yellow glow. He screamed as he shot lightning bolts super powered by the aura. The boss then became paralyzed for a couple of seconds, but not before it mauled a demibeast. It's life force then drained from 70% to 25% and then 0%. "NOOOO" screamed a demibeast Trerend recognized as Faryn. In the time the boss was paralyzed Michelle managed to kill the Skull Crusher with her wind blades. They both leveled up to level 10. They then went over to the demibeasts. Faryn then said "He was on his last life." "He is gone from this world... and the real one. She cried as she realized that a person had died before her. Faryn could only have been 12. How could she have joined this without her father and such. They now decided to bring them to their place. After all, the demibeast spawn was extremely far from here. They decided to give them some gold to compensate. The other demibeast asked Trerend "Can you please take care of Faryn, she is too traumatized by death's and this game. We need someone good to help her survive this game. Will you help her? "Yes." Trerend replied. "You must promise me." The demibeast said. "I Promise" They brought her to the ocean and as Michelle held her Trerend said as he sat on a skiff "Now I have another reason to live..."
