When Samantha had told me that we’d be moving to a town in north Virginia called Silver Crest-a town I had no idea it existed until that very precise moment- the picture I had of the town was of no more than 100 tiny, aged buildings placed randomly between the woods.  And my picture of the school was no different than that; a four-walled building which was best described by the adjectives old and cramped. So it was to no surprise that I was now found gawking at the colossal, surprisingly modern, museum-like building that served as Silver Crest’s Highschool. Talk about misjudgment.

I had stepped out of Jason’s car and simply just stood there admiring the beauty of the building;  bewildered by its unexpected grandeur.  The massive two-story structure was composed mainly by window panels, the sunlight currently reflecting against them, making it seem as if the school had a kind of glow. The flat roofs and squared-shape made the school look as if it were a museum, which was mainly composed by glass and wood. But the view that completely took my breath away was the entryway of the building.

A garden of tulips, roses and violets was decorating each side of the dark- wooden stairway; the combination of sweet colors and smells overwhelming my senses.  This led to a towering wooden door, which was now wide open, students streaming constantly through it. If one day ago you’d have asked me how the school looked like, this would have definitely not been my answer, by far.

“Pretty nice, huh?” A husky voice drove me out of my awe-stricken thoughts. I reluctantly adverted my gaze from the building, and found Jason staring at me amusedly from the other side of the car.

“Yeah,” I nodded, my eyes falling back on the building “Not what I’d imagined.”

“Let me guess,” Jason started with a smile on his face, “You’d pictured a crappy building which held fewer students than the number you can count with your hands.”

I crossed my arms over my chest and glanced at him annoyed. Was it that easy to read me?

Jason raised an eyebrow at me, his soft chuckle lighting my ears. “Don’t worry, that would have also been my guess if I was new here,” He shrugged, “What else would you expect to find in the middle of the woods?”

“Definitely not this.” I murmured only loud enough for him to listen.

The boy flashed me one of his charming smiles, which made one to grow on my lips.  Wow, Jason surely had one of the most breathtaking smiles. And his eyes! Don’t make me start with his eyes; the deep blue ones that looked as a window to the mysterious ocean; the amazing beautiful ones that were now locked with mine.

I quickly diverted my eyes towards the floor as I took in what I’d been doing, the colour red now creeping into my cheeks.  Locking gazes with Mister Abercrombie guy was something I was not prepared to do today, not ever if I was honest. The way he looked at me was just so alluring, and I remember feeling my lips parting as I gazed into his blue orbs before, making my cheeks a redder tone.

God, what was wrong with me?! I was currently drooling over a guy that was, lets say, at a distance in which my blushing was quite evident. Not to mention that I’d met him no longer than half an hour ago.  I bit my lip annoyed. Way to go Jade, just keep drooling over a stranger, and don’t forget that he’s currently watching you blush at his cuteness.

Now I’d just called him cute! Okay, girl, get a grip on your hormones and forget about the boy who is staring at you with those gorgeous eyes of his.

“It wasn’t always like this, though,” Jason’s voice popped my little daydream. I furrowed my brows at him, not getting what he was saying.  This caused him to chuckle, a sound that I was never going to get tired to hear.
