I rolled over on my bed, untangling the sheets from my legs and pulling the comforter up over my head. The sunlight was shining through my window and, as if to annoy me, was shining straight onto my face. It had to be around ten or eleven but I didn't care. I hadn't slept very much at all last night. My dreams and nightmares had been haunted by the blonde boy from last night. His drunken fit had entered my head and stayed there even while I was unconscious. I heard knocking on my door and I groaned.

"Hey Beth? I'm sorry about last night. I was gonna come get you. Honestly. I'm sorry. I should've dropped everything and come gotten you. Are you awake?"

I so did not want to talk to her right now.

"Go away Roni. Go bug someone else."

After a few minutes, I heard her footsteps walk away from my door. I rolled over and saw my phone sitting on my dresser. I sighed before picking it up and flipping it open. There was a text message from a number I didn't recognize. I opened it.

From: 1-462-472-2937

'Hey Beth, just wondering if you would reconsider my invitation to you? I would like to take you out for dinner sometime. Or maybe even breakfast?'

It was Harry. I stored him in my phone and typed back as quickly as I could.

'How is he? The boy?'

A long pause followed, then a response.

'You mean Niall? He's fine. Now, about our date...'

Niall. It was beautiful. I loved it. A name to put with the face. It was incredible. I smiled.

'Do you think he's well enough to eat? We could go out for breakfast. McDonald's would be fine.'

What was I doing? I didn't even know these guys! They could be dangerous creepers for all I knew! I quickly shoved these thoughts out of my mind and focused on Harry's response.

'Sure. What time?'

I looked at the clock. Dude, I never sleep this long! It was almost ten-thirty.

'Eleven? At McDonald's? And bring Niall!'

He responded with a curt, 'He'll be there.'

I hopped out of bed and flew to the bathroom. I showered, shaved my legs, and blow dried my hair in less than fifteen minutes. I brushed my teeth twice before slipping into a sweater and jeans. As I hopped around my room, attempting to pull my shoes on, I hit my face on the side of my dresser. I'm not even sure how I did it, I just did. There was no mistaking the throbbing in my face.

"Shit! How am I supposed to cover that up?"

I fumbled with my makeup, trying with all my might to cover up the big red bump that was forming on my face. Little success was made. I sighed before grabbing my purse and headed out the door. I tiptoed past a sleeping figure on the couch, my other roommate, Sarah, and raved out the door. I swung into my car and shoved the keys into the ignition. I turned my radio up as high as it would go. Maroon 5's 'Love Somebody' blared from the speakers. I relaxed a little bit at this. Music always seemed to help me calm myself. I sped out of the lot and onto the road. I drove till I saw the 'McDonalds' sign hanging high overhead. I pulled into a space and turned my car off. I sat there listening to my music until a sleek, black Audi pulled into the space next to me. The windows were tinted black and the license plate showed me that this was a rental, a very expensive rental. The drivers door opened and Harry's lean figure stepped out. I heard two doors close and saw someone stepping round from the passenger side. I was overcome by his looks once again. This morning he held a warm, gentle expression instead of the hard, cold boy I'd seen last night. He saw me gawking and walked quickly over to my door. I realized my mouth was hanging open so I snapped it shut. He opened my door for me and held his hand out to me.
