When Best Friends Get TOO Close

CHAPTER 1

It was the first day of school and I really didn't care to be there. I was so over seeing the same people year after year. Well except for my mains which were my best friends/sisters Alexia, Harmony, and Jennifer. We been friends since elementary school.

When I finally walked into the classroom for my first class and set down, I pulled out my phone to see if anything new happened on Twitter. When I looked back up, I noticed this guy walking in and my eyes followed him all the way until i realized he set down next to me. His name was Dante. I guess he felt some type of positive vibe from me because as soon as he took his seat, he immediately started to talk to me about the teachers and school in general.

"So how long you been going here?" he asked me.

"Too long to even think about" I answered while laughing at the same time.

He chuckled and said "What activities are you involved in?"

"Almost everything literally", I answered.

"Can you be more specific?", he asked while laughing.

So I turned and looked at him and answered, "I'm in choir and orchestra. O and I'm also on the Volleyball, Basketball, and Softball team. Anymore questions?"

"Damn now I know why you tired of this school" he said and we both laughed.

As soon as we stopped laughing class had started. I figured we going to be friends because he seemed like a cool dude.

After class was over I had to tell my girls about my new "friend". We all start talking about what we all thought about him. Before you knew we had talked and texted all through the rest of our classes because it seemed like I blinked and school was over.

"Damn why can't everyday go quick like today" I thought to myself.

A few weeks past and it seemed like I was talking to Dante more and more. He started going out with this girl name Brittany. Their relationship sort of reminded me of the type of relationship you would have with your dog or cat because she would always boss him around and he listened.

One day I finally told him that he needed to let her go because she was treating him like shit. He told me, "But that's mean and I don't want to hurt her feelings". I wanted to slap the mess out of him but instead I simply said, "So you rather her hurt your's?" I had to leave him thinking about that because the bell had rung and we both had basketball practice so we had to go.

The next day, I was sitting at home trying to figure out what I wanted to do since it was Saturday. Next thing you know my phone vibrates and it's a text from Dante telling me he broke up with Brittany. I'm not going to lie, I was super shocked because we just talked about it yesterday and now it's over.

I immediately called and said, "Are you serious or are you just fucking with me"

"I'm hella serious." he said calmly and then shout "MAN, FUCK THAT HOE!!!" Sounding like Kevin Hart so we both laughed.

Next thing I knew it was nighttime, we had been on the phone all damn day. Well there goes my Saturday plans. We had talked about everything under the sun like the people at school and outside school, our family, and random stuff like what celebrities we would date. I told him things nobody but God knew about and vice versa. It felt like I could really trust him and it's hard for me to trust people "period".

I think I found me a new best friend.
