"Ana!!!" Cara screamed, " your gonna make us late!"
"Go with out me I cant find my clothes!" I screamed back.
" You mean the ones you put in your bag like 2 seconds ago?" Cara yelled laughing.
Cara's my best friend I've know her since I think we were at least 2 years old. Our parents met in LSU or Life School University which is a terrible name but completely self explanatory. We have to choose a career that will determine what we will do with the rest of our lives. Cara and I started here 4 months ago after Cara finally turned 19. Once we turn 19 we have to go to LSU because its the only way we will get a job unless you want to make $10 a week. After the wars we lost a lot of things including almost all of our grocery stores, salons, some resturants and even pet shelters so pretty much everything you could think of. We have 1 grocery store and a couple of restaurants in Willow Creek. But dont worry to much its a small town we didnt have many things to begin with.
"Ana you drive today, I can barely keep my eyes open." Cara said pretending to be tired.
"Your just being lazy cara I know when your pretending. You have to get used to driving around you know I wont always be here to drive you places." Cara just got her license because she failed the first time. We are supposed to get them the week before our 19th birthday but if your Cara i guess the rules are different.
"Do you want me to wreck this thing?" she said sarcastically.
"Cara just get in and drive us to the bus station please!" I said annoyed.
She got in the drvers seat, started the car and backed out of our driveway. I moved into this house when I was 17 which is the normal age to move out of your childhood home these days. They changed several laws after the war. If your older than 17 and still living with you parents you ethier didnt start your starter job or you have a disability. After Cara turned 17, 5 months after me we decided to split my rent and she took the spare bedroom."WATCH OUT CARA!" I screamed as we came an inch away from hitting a boy in a green hoodie. We looked at each other in fear and watched as the boy in front of us lift up his finger and wave it at us. After that he gave us a dirty look and walked off at a hurriedly pace. The next few moments we were in the car we didnt speak still overwhelmed by the guy in the green hoodie. We pulled into the parking lot of the bus station and gathered our things for school.
"Are you alright Cara? I asked worried. She had a frightened look on her face as we steped out of the car.
"Ya im alright I just cant believe I almost killed a guy."
"Ya what happened were you thinking about jack?"
"No!" she said trying to hide her grin.
Jackson is his real name but we call him jack for short. He has been Cara's crush since highschool. He's another one of our bestfriends and happens to be in our LSU group. Were apart of the life simulation group or the survival group as some people say. We program games for survival and train so we can lead people in the future.
"Ana do you have an extra dollar?" Cara asked with a sickend look on her face.
"Ya you alright?" I laughed as I handed her the dollar and she ran off towards the bathroom. I looked around to make sure there were no cars and walked across the parking lot to the beat up building to buy our tickets for the bus. A young teenage girl sat at the office drawing on a paper. When i got up closer the picture became clearer and I recognized the face she has created. Alexandra Quake. The leader of my LSU group I have never met her but its my goal to this year, she is the best at completeing the simulators and the only one who has completed them all. I am in training now and still learnimg how to use the machines they are quite complicated. A couple of minutes later I see cara walk out of the bathroom looking refreshed and she runs towards me.
"Did you get the tickets? Cara asked
"Yep ready to go?"
"Ya thanks for the money by the way." she said looking embarrassed.
"Anytime cara!" I laughed at my friend's face and we walked onto the bus.
The bus was completely packed and there was one seat left near the front. We sat down relieved that there was two of us and we could fit our bags in the seat between us. After what felt like forever the bus started to move and we came to a sudden stop.
"COME ON!!" Cara screamed out being the loud person that she is.
"Be quiet Cara!" I said laughing at her frustrated features. The bus driver opened the doors and in came a tall boy with brown hair wearing a green hoodie.
I wasnt paying much attention and cara punched my arm."What the heck was that for?"
"Move your stuff we got to let this guy in the green hoodie sit down!" Realizing why she put emphasis on the word green I quickly moved my things.
"What ever you do dont look him in the eye ok!" cara whispered as the boy sat down.
"Its not polite to whisper." the boy said staring at cara. She slowly turned to look at him.
"Im sorry?"
"Its...not...polite...to...whisper. Are you deaf? Is she deaf? You can hear me right?" I stared out the window to scared to meet his gaze.
"Oh their both deaf!" he said dramatically.
"You know you might get a response from someone if you were a little nicer."
I said finally getting the courage to look at him.Oh did that help the uneasy feeling I had hust sitting in the pit of my stomach. He was Gorgeous dark brown hair and a pair of matching dark brown eyes that went perfectly well with his tan skin. I froze unable to break eye contact.
"Ana?" cara nuged my arm
"Ana!" she did it again this time harder.
"W-what?"
"You're staring." she whispered
I looked up at the boy who was looking at me with a smirk and felt the heat creep up my face and settle on my cheeks. I looked away hoping they didnt catch the pink glow radiating off of me. Next thing I know I feel the bus start to move once again and relax in my seat knowing that the dark haired boy was on the other side of cara far away from me. A few moments later I hear cara laugh and try not to look at the gorgeous but jerk of a boy.
