Chapter 2 - simulator

The bus came to a slow stop when we reached LSU. The tall most updated building in this area. It may have a few cracks here and there but its definently the best looking building I know of. It has 1,223 rooms in it and is three stories tall.
I hear the the doors of the bus open and everyone stands up. Gathering my stuff I stand up and hit my head on the pole above me. My bag falls out of my hands and my stuff flies everywhere.

"Come on!" I yell angrily and rub my head. Frustration runs through me as I see my makeup bag slide down the isle and hit someones shoes. You could probably guess who's shiney black shoes they hit. The guy in the green hoodie. I dont know his name and don't plan on learning it. I see him jump and turn around he then picks up my bag and looks around until he sees my angered face and smirks.

"Is this yours?" he says with amused features.

"Yeah....thanks." I say timidly

"What is it with you people and hitting me with things?"

I was startled when he said that remembering that we had just hit him with our car. He laughs a little and walks off the bus. I put my makeup bag in my purse and follow him out the door. I find cara outside with the wind blowing her hair in all different directions her face emotionless. Her eyes land on me and the boy with the green hoodie.

"Finally! Jeez. What happend to your head?

She says loudly as she pionts to the red lump sitting between my forehead and hairline.

"The bus."

"Okay?.... Lets go get some ice yeah?"

She grabs my arm and I folllow behind.

"Where did greenie go?" I ask.

"Who?"

"The guy you hit with my car?"

"Oh. His name is Mat." She laughs.

So much for not learning his name.

" Oh well Mat where did he go?"

"Why do you want to know?" she looks back at me and wiggles her eyebrows up and down.

"I was only asking, he just disapeard." I say in a defensive tone.

"Oh okay whatever you say." she says back in a sassy tone. As we enter the nurses office I hear mine and cara's name being called.

"Ana, Cara. Hey wait up!"

I turn to see Jack running towards us with a goofey grin on his face. As he reaches us he engulfs us in a hug me smushed in the middle.

"Get off jack you guys are hurting my head."

I push his chest to try and break his grip but failed miserably against his strength.

"Jack! Get off!"

He laughs and we stand there for a few seconds until I hear another deep voice fill the empty room.

"What am I wittnessing right now?" The confused voice asked.

Jackson finnally breaks off and I could breath again. He turns around and greets the voice.

"Hi im Jackson but you can call me jack..." he says politely.

Jack is one of the nicest people I know but i wouldn't want to get on his bad side. He is very over protective ecspecially over Cara and I, but more so over Cara. You could guess why.
Everyone always thinks they are dating they flirt so much. The funny thing is I dont think they realize it.

"Hi im mat."

Mat's voice breaks me out of my thoughts and I realize I must have been staring into space this whole time. Cara nudges my arm and hands me a bag of ice.

"Hey Mat where did you go i thought we lost you?" Cara asks

"Oh uh the bus driver found what looks to me like a very expensive bottle of perfume." He said with a chuckle.

"And I knew who it belonged to so I took it."

I gasped when I saw it and took it straight from his hands.

"Thanks again." I replied awkwardly.
I dont know why I feel so shy I'm not normaly this awkward with people but he dosen't seem to notice. I continued to apply the ice to my head as we walked to class. When you walk in all you can hear is the faint taping sound of people touching their projected keyboards and the humming of the machines that run the simulators. Yes we have projected keybords they are real.

They use to be just off of phones but now they are pretty much on everything. Our TVs these days aren't see through like what was predicted to happen but they are double sided. Our phones are also double sided but I have no idea why one side doesn't even function correctly. We all walked to the lockers located inside our room and cara and I got suited up for the simulators.

Jack went to his desk with Mat close behind and started to set up the programs. I put on my suit made completely out of black leather, An entire body suit made out of leather it can get pretty hot to wear ecspecially when you're trapped in a small simulator room with a group of people.

It is quite flattering though if I would say so myself it shows of my curves that are completely non-exsistent with out it. I pulled my hair into a high pony and walked out of the girls locker room. Cara was getting our helmets that are just upgraded motorcycle helmets off of the shelf and we headed back to Jack's desk.

"Hey Dude" I said plainly "Where did mat go?"

"Oh well guess who your newest member is!" he said excitedly.

"Mat is your replacement for lacey she was moved to sector 5 because Alexandra wants there to be a guy in the group. When he comes back we will start lesson three. Oh and be prepared we have to fight in this one."

We sat for a few more minutes and finally in came our newest member. Of course he was perfect, out of all the guys why did he have to be the one to join our group? Now how am I supposed to stay focused with him constantly reminding me to act like a normal human?

"Are we ready?" Jack asks. We all shout yes and move to the door.

"Okay remember you have wepons this time Ana you are the leader and you two watch her back this will be an all around simulator so watch your own back as well."

We stand there looking at each other and walk in as the door opens. As soon as we are all in the door closes slowly and we are locked in a completely white room. I hear jacks voice project out of the speaker and prepare myself to start.

"Dont forget your orders!" Jack says sternly

"You will be graded on skill and how well you can take orders."

"Three.... Two.... One...."
