Background Information
Have you ever thought to yourself, Why am I alive ? What is my duty on this earth ? Of course we were all created for a reason, but what is this reason ? Who created me ? The answer is simple. We were all created to worship one God alone. Do we really think our life is to have fun, eat , sleep and repeat this ? No . We are to obey our Lord. Pray to him and follow the sunnah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). First off, the meaning of Islam is submission or surrender. Therefore, in Islam we submit or surrender to Allah (SWT). This message of Islam was delivered to Muhammad (pbuh) in 610 A.D. Islam grew stronger and bigger throughout the years. Most parts of Asia and Africa were muslim countries. The muslims conquered big empires like Persia and Syria. The Holy Quran was revealed to Muhammad (pbuh) in the month of Ramadan. Islam teaches us to be kind to our neighbors, family and people around us. We should help all our brothers and sisters in Islam around the world. We should give zakat or charity. We should fast in the month of Ramadan. We should make Hajj or Pilgrimage around the Kaba.
