'You have cancer' With that all her dreams she have built since young came crashing down just in a split second.

It all started during one normal day where the sun was shining brightly lighting up the whole busy street of London city where Rose was walking by the pathway taking in the beauty of the scenery. She was too busy enjoying the scenery to even watch her steps and the people opposite her until someone bumped into her.

"Sorry. " the person exclaimed. Due to the bright sunlight , she couldn't get a clear view of the person's face.

"It's okay." She replied while shooting a toothy grin and continued walking setting her track straight to the coffee shop that employed her few months back.

Yes, she was 19 and works in a coffee shop because this is not a book where the girl is rich and had everything you commonly find in those bookstores at romance section but this is the book of a life. Rosa's life.

As she pulled the door open giving way for an old woman behind her to enter the coffee shop first, her favorite , the smell of freshly brewed coffee went through her nostrils.

"Thank you" the old woman said and Rosa smiled in return while making her way towards the counter.

She took the apron which had her name on it and hung over her head while greeting everyone in the kitchen.

"Here's your coffee with extra sugar and an indulging piece of blueberry doughnut , Sir." She said with a smile while handing the orders to the man.

Her day went as usual but something felt wrong. She was beyond tired and exhausted.

Lately Rosa felt very tired as though a ton of bricks had fell on her.

"Rosa, you  alright, girl? You look a little..actually, very pale lately." Niall, the manager of Dunks and Doughnut owner who was also her best friend asked. He was Irish and most of the girl who comes here are not for coffee but to see him.

"Yeah, I'm alright, just a little tired and my ribs hurts. " she said while wiping the bead of sweat from her forehead.

"Okay, you don- Oh my god. You're burning hot. Are you having fever?" Niall asked with a concerned face while his hand was on her forehead

"Well, I don't remember having fever when I left the house." Rosa said while touching her own forehead. So hot.

"You're going to the clinic. Right now , lady. No excuses or buts. I'll go grab my cot." he said as I opened my mouth to answer while running to his office to grab his cot.

-At the hospital-

For some reasons, the doctor had advised me to run a blood and a few other tests to identify the problem.

Niall was being Niall because he rung up my mom who was always busy to inform the situation. As for my dad, he passed away 4 years ago due to cancer. He was such a nice man. The memories with him was always treasured deep in my heart like a safe in a box.

Father's last words to me before he went to coma was "A person who's happy will make others happy; a person who has courage and faith will never die in misery"

He died 4 days after being in a coma. His death changed everything. My mom couldn't accept his death and she started spending all her money on drugs and alcohols. Her cheerful smile faded away and couldn't be seen anymore after father's death. Then she decided to work hard to do something useful in life. Now she is one of the powerful lawyer in the world.

"Miss Rosa Waters, you have to brace yourself for what is about to come. I'm sorry to say this. But you based on the test you have taken, we found out that you have chronic myelogenous leukemia which is a type of cancer.
