"So Harry? How things gone since moving out?" Louis asked as the two lads sat waiting for their bacon and egg rolls. Harry tapped the plastic lid on his coffee cup as he smiled.
His life had changed in the passed few months. The month he spent with his Uncle and Callie his Uncle's new girlfriend was the best time. Harry loved his Uncle. He was the only supportive member of his family he had and couldn't believe how much the man loved him. He sighed. Moving out of his place was hard, but then he got to move into Liam and Niall's flat.
Their bond had grown ever since the Zayn incident. Also ever since Harry had hurt Niall, all the younger lad did was look out for the Irish lad now. Harry met the eyes of Louis and said,
"It's changed my life I must say. I guess finally being back with my best friends it makes my life easier, but you know... Maybe it's the annoying person that phones me at ridiculous times in the morning that makes things better."
Louis grinned that grin that made Harry's heart want to stop. It just... Lit up the place. His blue always sparkled regardless. Harry loved that he didn't always wear glasses, because it gave him more of a chance to count the different shades that spread across in his eyes.
"Honestly Harry, you have to be the most grumpy person I've come across! It was almost 10 o'clock Harry!" Louis exclaimed dramatically, but believe it or not, late for him was anything after 8 in the morning! He was so used to walking up at 7 and getting sorted for lectures and things at University. Harry rolled his eyes as he sipped at his coffee, before whining,
"I'm starving."
Now it was Louis' turn to roll his eyes. Harry was such a child. How could you even begin to treat him like an adult when he whines like a child? Louis sipping at his tea, turning round to see the short woman at the counter still preparing their food. He groaned.
"People take ages in these places."
"Why did you choose this place then?"
Louis grumbled quietly to himself making Harry smirk. Harry, brushed a hand through his curls and Louis huffed.
"This place was my favourite as a kid... I guess times change." Louis muttered, but Harry still saw that sparkle knowing that Louis was "secretly" happy inside at being back in a place he used to go to as a child. Harry couldn't go back to the places he loved as a child... Because all of those places, everyone knew who he was...
He was the whore who'd ruined his life and others around him.
Louis caught Harry wincing. He frowned, absentmindedly reaching his hand out, finding Harry's. His fingers walked up Harry's that were splayed on the round table they were sitting at. Louis met Harry's green eyes as his fingers slid in between his.
"What's wrong Haz?" Asked Louis, how voice soft, hoping Harry would tell him what was wrong, but Harry never did. He watched as the younger boy attempted to mask his pain with a smile. Louis squeezed the younger lads hand reassuringly.
"Please tell me what's wrong... I can see there is something upsetting you."
Harry looked down. Tingles were dancing through his veins, at the touch of Louis'. He wanted someone to help him get over it. He wanted Louis to help him... He wanted Louis to take him to places he used to go... To show everyone he wasn't just whore. To show everyone he had a life and he had love to give out.
"I-I just thought of everything... All the places I used to go when I was younger... No one would want to see me back again. They all know me as the whore that ruined everyone's lives... My Uncle told my mother I was staying with him before I moved in with Niall and Liam." He whispered. Louis felt a pang in his heart. That's the problem with being a kind of memorable character and having parents that have tight knit relationships with the places and people they used to take their kids.
"Harry... You aren't just a whore... You have a soul and you have a heart! I know you have love that you want to give to somebody. People just can't see the person that's stuck in a world they don't want anymore." Louis said softly, knowing how Harry felt. Louis used to be known by his University course as the whore. No one knew what he did, all except his girlfriend who dumped him when she found him drunk in a hotel room...
Louis felt bad, of course he did, but his job was his job... His job was his unhealthy addiction just like Harry said. He frowned slightly, but knew that ending that loveless relationship, but still... She was the one who spread "rumours" as she decided she'd call them.
"I just want people to forget that person... I want to be known as Harry Styles again. I guess it is my fault but... I guess I was good at it. People always wanted me back. All I feel now is ashamed." Harry whispered. Louis hated this. The day started off so happily. He shifted over next to Harry a lopped an arm around his waist. He grinned as Harry blushed. If only he knew.
"I know... I know the feeling Harry, but I hate seeing you upset... Smile." Louis said, eyes shining but Harry leaned back, crossing his arms. His lips were in a thin line... But they weren't for long when the small empty cafe was filled with Harry's loud laughter.
"L-Louis stop!" He cried, doubling over, trying to crush Louis' hand that was tickling his stomach. His long legs were kicking out, as Louis went on mercilessly.
"Nah I actually quite like your laugh Harry. Plus this is funny." Louis murmured, a cheeky grin on his lips as Harry tried sliding down the chair, but Louis' fingers slid up to his ribs, causing the younger boy to squeal.
"I-I'm gonna d-die!" Harry choked out, tears rolling down his red cheeks. Louis chuckled pulling Harry back up into his seat. Harry's eyes were filled with tears, as little giggles left his lips. Louis' heart was almost bursting. Harry's laugh made his body buzz and his stomach just... He couldn't really justify the feeling. Harry's head dropped onto Louis' shoulder, as he wrapped his arms tightly around his body shielding it from Louis.
"I hate you sometimes..." Murmured Harry, shooting a playful glare at Louis. Louis smiled, ruffling his curls softly and saying,
"You don't hate me Harry."
The younger lad stuck out his tongue and smiled. He actually loved the feeling. Louis only really hugged him, or wrapped an arm around him. Harry loved him being close.
"I am so sorry about the wait. But it seems you managed to occupy the time." The small woman said, raising an eyebrow at a blushing Harry. Louis smirked and nodded. He knows how to make time go faster.
"Thank you."
"You're most welcome boys."
As she turned to walk away, Louis chuckled at Harry's deep blush. He loved the fact that Harry was still almost like a child that when he got embarrassed he'd blush. Harry pushed Louis softly and rolled his eyes.
"Don't roll your eyes at me Harry." Louis scolded playfully. Harry again, stuck his tongue out, grabbing for his bacon and egg roll. As they ate... Neither of them could deny it to themselves anymore...
They couldn't fight the feelings, but how to tell someone with such damaged emotions?
