Prologue

The Calm, it is said it has been in existence since the universe was created, it's flow having spread to earth and bonding with the entities that where in inhabitation.

Calm is a flow that connects one person to another, a form of sense if used right. It is know as many names now such as magic, Chi, Yin and Yang and many more used in society nowadays but essentially it was know as Calm which has many forms. The most important form it has and was used for was to search and bond.

The Calm helped you become a single Entity when you found your other. Entity also known by many names now such as mate, soul-mates, soul, spirit, set, other and essence.

In the beginning they were six races who dominated.

Human's also know as witches and wizards, they possesse the most calm.

Vampires also know as night walkers and blood drinkers. Calm is used so the feedee will not suffer.

Mer-folk are water people, they live underwater. Their calm is not used for much other then speaking to the habitats around.

Shifters also referred as werewolves, shifters had many forms from bear to wolves, mainly those close to their human structure. Their calm is used mainly for shifting but also had a easier link to the shaman realms.

Fey's also go by fairies and sprites, possess a calm that near enough rivals the humans, they are winged beings who can form their calm in many ways.

Nymphs also known as elves, are the most spirited of nature's creation and have feel no embarrassment to nudity. Their calm was used mainly for healing.

Centuries ago all the races lived in harmony, becoming an entity when paired up in whatever race their set was in. But harmony did not last and came forth the great war's.

First war happened between vampires and shifters who fought for a human to mate, no one knows who was in the wrong but the human female who was the reason and having had enough and her being a powerful witch also known as a sorceress who is said to have had her calm mastered to the highest degree had put an end to the war by ridding all her human kin's calm till it was barely enough to survive and ridding them from the Calm Circle.

The second war was between the mer-folk and vampires, no one knows the cause of it only that the mer-folk who have no need for the calm caused the vampires to become night walkers.

The next war was the biggest that ever had happened and raged on for centuries, the five remaining races which still held their calm were all involved in the war. The vampires wiped out the mer-folk. The shifters fought for power having forced mate's on the fey whilst disregarding the sacred entity rule which the calm revolved around. The fey having preached and abided by the rules of old had not tolerated the forced sets they had made, so the high summoner used her calm and hid away the threads that connected them to their other. Once the last four race's with what little of the mer-folk was left realised they had not had a entity for sometime, they went demanding to the Fairies to set right things, knowing if they didn't act soon they would have another mess like the first great war. The fey had hidden themselves deep into hiding so no race would find them, the mer-folk following in the feys step and took what few kin they had and went deep underwater.

The next war was a repeat of the first but instead of humans the shifters and vampires now fought over the nymphs and who's calm was more so they forced mating upon them, as the fey had rid the threads of the single entity, well that is what they had made the other races believe. The nymphs who where proud to mate at the beginning as the fey and mer-folk had runaway had realised their error and went seeking the help off the two race's. The war was gruesome the fey had been brought down and they had demanded the Entity brought back, having refused the high summoner of the fey was executed believing her death and calm would release the calms effect. Though her effect still stayed until this day and her death in vain, having found no way to reverse the calm effect, the enraged shifters and vampires decided to attack the rest of the fey, few escaped and went back into hiding. The mer-folk who had came to the nymphs aide had all been wiped out ending their race. The nymphs had followed the feys idea and ran for sanctuary far away where the race's would not find them.

Human's had lost their calm and become all but just mere mortals.

The Vampires cursed as nightwalkers now stalk their prey.

The Shifters have to mate with in their species or the humans around who cannot sustain the births and are dying out.

The Nymphs have isolated themselves deep into the meadows.

The Fey have disbanded and hidden what little off-springs they have in-between the human and minimized their calm till it was human standard.

The Mer-folk were the most unfortunate race, having been erased completely.

The Calm Circle which governed the head's of each race has sealed shut not letting the last two active and open race's to operate it. It was said the founding head's of the Calm Circle had governed there at the dawn of time. The Calm running thru there was so pure and powerful. Once the wars began the Calm Circle closed, losing with it it's pure-ness.

The Mer-folk where praised for one thing with in their race and that was the foresight some possessed and the promotions a few wielded with it they had to cope with the foreknowledge which would not come onto effect till centuries later.

Generations have passed the era's have changed and no race has mixed with the other, having almost become extinct. The shifters and vampires are the only ones to come across each other and that also being in a hostile manner.

One will rise and question the teachings.

One will search for what has been lost.

One will come with forbearance.

One will unite those who are unaware.

One will rectify the mistakes of old.

One will unbind the binded.

One will become the Entity that has been forgotten and bring a new dawn.

This was the knowledge the mer-folk had finally written down after having it brought forth many time's, eventually one of the scholars wrote it with as less detail as they could and released it to the other races just before their extinction. The scroll of old has been passed around and many have searched for the one but till this day have not succeeded and now it lay forgotten for the past couple of generations.

The Day of reckoning is near and the one has arrived to set right old.
