You meet him after you guys break up (Kevin)

Walking down the street you were a bundle of nerves, ever since he texted you last night you simply couldn't get him off your mind. Everything that happened last year was something you had always seen as unforgivable, the question of whether he cheated or not was one you were constantly asked but could never answer because you simply didn't know the truth.

"Miss, you are here to see Kevin yes?" The greeter smiled, you nodded swallowing the lump in your throat at the mention of his name. Every step he took taking you deeper into the restaurant added onto the pile of nervousness and stress you were feeling until finally, you saw him.

"Is the wine Mr. Alston picked alright for you miss?" The waiter asked as you stood there staring at the man you had once loved with everything in you who was now sitting in front of you "Um yea- wine is um good."

You muttered shaking yourself from your trance.

Sitting down his eyes never left yours, finally you looked up meeting his gaze "Hi."

The word fumbled from your mouth as awkward as it could, he reached back and scratched his neck

"Hey, I'm um- glad you came." His awkward level was higher than yours and you couldn't help but giggle "God we sound like
high schoolers."

You laughed lightening the mood, a smile stretched across his face as a chuckled rumbled through his chest.

"So how have you been?" He asked with a hint of caution laced in his tone, taking a sip of your wine you shrugged "Um, alright I suppose, I see you've been doing well." You mustered a small smile glancing up at him, sighing he leaned back in his seat slightly "I'd be doing a lot better if I had you." His words took you by surprise, looking up at him he simply smiled.
"Is there any chance of there being an us again?" Your eyes drifted around the restaurant, finally you managed to look into his eyes "I don't know Kevin, I really don't." You admitted truthfully, sure you missed him but after everything that happened last year you didn't know if it was possible to ever look at him the same.

"I want you to know something, all these rumors going around about me cheating on you aren't true, yea I did hang out with a lot of other women but never did I ever touch them like that and I can promise you that. The biggest thing I regret doing is letting you walk out that day, I regret not chasing after you, I regret not saying I'm sorry when it counted and I regret not letting you know how much I truly love you. I'm not saying I want you to act like nothing ever happen I'm asking you to forgive me and try with me again, even if I don't deserve it."

Looking up at him you wiped a few stray tears "I'm willing to give it a try Kevin, I miss you and what we had and I can see that you're a different person."
