Chapter 5

~set in Arthur's office~ general POV

"So, how are they getting along?". Silence. Arthur impatiently tapping his fingers, looked up to see Loki staring at him. "Your asking about Akane, Midori and Aoto's lot I presume?" answered back Arthur. Loki continued looking at him, a sly look plastered on his face. "Well to be specific, If I may ask, when will you be sending them off on your 'special training'?" enquired Loki . Arthur simply rested his head on the palms of his hand.   After a few minutes he replied with a smirk on his face, " Actually I was thinking tomorrow, after all...we need to see what decisions they will make. Get  Breunor and Bedivere on the case."

I yawned as I walked to the front gates of the academy. There he was, leaning against the gates. I brightened up as I thought of how he helped me recover yesterday when I was sick. I was about to walk up to him when I felt someone yank me backwards. "And were do you think your going?". I looked up to see my  brother eyeing me, clearly annoyed. "Haven't you already lectured me enough?" I answered back,  feeling quite irritated.  Yesterday after Aoto had helped me recover and I had gone home, I arrived to see my brother. My angry brother. After telling him I had got ill so stayed at a friends  house, it was fine.... till I mentioned he was a guy called Aoto.  Then the whole 'Don't stay at a guys house overnight' talk appeared. "Tch...I just don't want you getting hurt, that's all ok? Be carefull..." He said, again glaring at Aoto.  Already having walked 2 meters, I simply waved a goodbye and continued walking to Aoto.  "I'll see you at home then!" I heard my brother yell behind me.

I was about to go and say hi, when I noticed 2 people walk up to him. It was a pretty girl with short green hair, and a tough looking guy with flaming red hair.  By the looks of how they were talking to each other, it looked like they knew each other quite well.  Unsure of what to do, I pulled my dark blue hood over my head, covering my eyes, and tried to just walk past them. I'll just try talking to Aoto later then.  However, I was abruptly stopped when I felt a  hand suddenly  tug mine, pulling me back into someone's arms.  Aoto...I already knew it was him, I was just quite embarrassed.  "Hey...didn't you say you would help me?" I heard him whisper into my ear sending shivers down my back. Remembering the girl and boy were still watching me I pushed slightly away from him and finally looked up meeting the eyes of the boy and girl.

"Wow.." I heard the girl with green hair sigh. Completely confused as to why she sighed, I looked back up at her. "No fair! Your eyes are SO pretty!!!" moaned the green haired girl. "Midori, jeez, you're already sca...Woah!" The boy said, staring at me quite intently now.  I smiled sweetly looking up at both of them now. " Do you think we can perhaps, finally, properly introduce ourselves?" The green haired girl chuckled. "You can call me Midori! Nice to meet you!". The red haired boy, scolding at her, turned around to face me. "I'm Akane." he said grinning.  I looked up at them, happy I got to meet nice people.  "I'm (y/n)" I smiled.  I turned around, about to excuse myself, when I met face to face with Aoto. "(y/n)...." He trailed off. His hand suddenly wrapped round my waist and pulled me towards him, whilst the other one reached down to tuck a strand of hair behind my ear.  "Hey...(y/m)?" He breathed, again causing a tingling sensation all over my body. "You never told me why you wear your hood down..." I looked away blushing but his gaze got me fixed on his perfect blue eyes.  Did he know he had this effect on me? I get that he was only trying to be friendly....but....

"EHEM,  Aoto, we were going to go see Ifrit, Sylph and Undine?" Midori stated. I finally broke away my gaze- I could feel my cheeks heat up. "Aoto...you should probably go now...." I stammered. Aoto pulled me into another quick hug. "Ok...but I will come back...so don't leave me...please" He barely whispered, pleading. Feeling the fear in his voice, I moved in my head so our foreheads were touching.  "I promise I won't...you opened up to me, and I will always open up to you.."
