"Hmm. I want some spaghetti and burger. Oh. Plus, chocolate sundae, Mowey."
The pretty girl wearing an orange shirt said. She smiled at him.
"And, because you love me at ako lang ang bestfriend mo, you’ll order me a regular fries too."
The guy in blue stares at her, who I think a God’s gift to every women.
"Alright, Mademoiselle Julie Anne San Jose."
They are both wearing a cap. Identical Vans caps.
I knew them. They are on disguise.
They’re cute together. Lord God, in heaven, thank you for their existence.
It’s 2am. I’m still at work. I’m on the graveyard shift.
"Welcome to McDonald’s Sir, can I take your order?"
"Ahm. Miss, spaghetti, burger, sundae and a regular fries. Two orders. Thank you."
He smiled at me. Good Almighty God.
"Here’s your order Sir. Enjoy, Ma’am."
"Thank you, po. Yehey!" The girl said. Para siyang bata. Ang saya-saya niya.
While, I’m on the cashier, nasa kanila pa rin yung focus ko.
"Sana may matapon na drinks. Sana matapon nung bata yung drinks." Bulong ko.
Diyos ko, patawad po. Pero, salamat. Tumapon nga.
"Ako na po ang maglilinis." I offered.
Sinadya ko yun para marinig ang usapan nila.
"Sabi mo Julie, sasabihin mo na saken yung sagot mo." He pout.
"Oo nga. Kaya nga ako umorder ng regular fries, Mowey."
"Ha?" He asked.
"Di ba I’m continuously eating this? Nagbibilang ako, Mowey."
She then eat another one.
"It says yes, Mowey." They both smiled.
Another one.
"It means no, Mowey." I heard. Sumimangot si lalake.
"Ahm, Ate, pahingi po ng ketchup. Maraming salamat po."
Pagbalik ko, tatlo na lang yung fries ni Julie.
Hindi na maitimpla ang mukha ni Elmo.
"Ma’am ito na po."
"Ate, Maricris Anne, thank you."
"Kilala niyo po ako?" Takang-tanong ko.
Hala. Baka na-soco na niya ako.
"Opo Ate. Sabi po sa name tag niyo oh." Turo niya sa pangalan ko sa kaliwang dibdib.
Nagtawanan kame.
"For the last 3." She sighed. “It says no."
"Mowey. This one says yes."
"And finally …" He didn’t let her finish.
"Gets ko na Julie. Okay lang. I can still wait. Ganun kita kamahal." He said.
I saw Julie
She bite the last fries she got. Pero hindi niya kinain lahat.
"It’s a no. Pero may natira pa oh."
"Julie, what do you mean?"
Gulat na gulat si Elmo. Yung gulat na aasamin mong mangyari ng paulit-ulit.
"Julie, sinasagot mo na ba si Elmo? Kayo na ba ni Elmo, Julie? Oxygen, please." Extra ko.
"Ha? Kilala mo kame?"
