A/N - Zach at the side and the trailer :)
"Miss Wolfe?" the receptionist questioned, looking up from her appointment notepad.
"Mrs." Mona lied. "I just decided to keep my maiden name, there must have been a misunderstanding."
"Really?" The woman found this strange, but the tone in which the other spoke made her believe the words that she said. "I wish I didn't have to change my surname."
Mona raised an eyebrow in interest as the woman muttered, "I can't stand my husband."
A smile crossed Mona's lips and she made a mental note of the woman's name.
Well, she'd never know when she'd need information like that.
"Well, Mrs Wolfe, the doctor will see you soon." the receptionist, who Mona now knew to be called Sally, announced.
"Thank you." Mona shot her a small smile before sitting down in the waiting room.
She scanned her hazel eyes across the near empty room and took in the few people who shared her space.
There was a mother with her son, an elderly lady and a man of around twenty.
Mona decided to make him the object of her focus for the time being, to keep her occupied.
He was looking in a mirror and fixing his red hair with a concentrated look on his face.
He looked trashy, in an obviously cheap faux leather jacket which did a bad job of hiding his tatty, oil stained white t-shirt and black skinny jeans.
His skin was fake tanned - which did not suit - him and the permanent sarcastic smirk which curved his pink lips told Mona that she wouldn't like him.
She let her gaze drop to her shoes when the old woman was called into her appointment.
The black patent material caught the light and she played around with the shine childishly for a bit until a voice interrupted her.
"Somethin' interesting down there babe?" he asked teasingly, sliding into the seat beside her.
"More interesting that anything else in this room." She muttered bitterly, looking up at him and studying his more closely.
"Really?" he grinned, drawing her attention to a cute mole on his cheek. "I'm Zach."
"Lola Mosakowski." Mona growled.
"I know a Mosakowski. Lexa-Rayne." Zach commented.
"Doesn't ring a bell sorry. Sounds like a made up name if you ask me."
"Ah, that's a shame. I like to have connections, you see."
Zach rambled on some more before a nurse came out and called his name.
"Would the lady like to go first?" he suggested in a sickeningly sweet voice.
"No thanks. I've got plenty of time." Mona refused bitterly.
"Alright. Well maybe I'll see you around babe."
"Maybe."
Zach strutted into the doctor's office, leaving Mona alone with Sally and the mother with her child.
Mona pulled her fake wedding ring out, ready to play that card when Zach returned, but when he did he just walked straight past and out of the revolving doors.
After a few minutes, Mona was called into the Doctor.
"Hello, sir." she smiled politely and sat down in a chair.
