"Good grief, Assis, just kill it."
She didn't look up. "Oh, you again." She poked the skeevil.
Këj grimaced as he drew his knife. "Honestly, Assis,"
Assis gave a little shriek as Këj's knife flashed down hilt first and knocked the skeevil out. Before she could say anything, Këj had grabbed the little creature and snapped its neck. "it's not worth the time you take to kill it.
She stood up and scowled. "I was having fun." She complained. "They scrabble around and make such funny noises when you poke them."
Këj felt his stomach turn: he was quite sure that Assis had done more than 'poke' the furry creature, but he managed to look at her disdainfully. "Yeah, whatever. And while you play with the little pest, the others are breeding and multiplying at at least a hundred new skeevils a pair. Honestly, you're wasting your time. They're just pests that get into everything and spoil it." Këj glanced at Assis who had stuck her bottom lip out in a sulk. "Do you want them to creep into your bed? Or in your food?"
"Yecch." Assis glared at him. "Okay, fine." She sheathed her knife and flounced off.
