Bright.
Very bright.
The morning sun shone straight in to his eyes, and the cold bit into his skin.
The last thing Matt remembered was crawling out of the plane and under a ragged bush.
The passengers! He staggered up, and frantically peered at the smoking wreckage.
Nothing moved. No one was there, and all that stirred was wisps of dead smoke.
He was on his own, in a unknown territory probably located somewhere in the bush of Nevada.
First, he needed a weapon, or anything else he could salvage. Matt turned towards the plane, and walked towards its fuselage. Inside were the remains of the 10 passengers.
He swallowed down bile, and started collecting supplies. Twenty minutes later he had collected two penknives, three pocket knives, 5 watches, and three cell phones. All three phones were broken from the crash, but the batteries could be used.
Clothing. All he had on was a T-shirt and a pair of jeans. The pilot looked towards the bodies and gulped.
A happy thought reminded him that there was a luggage compartment near the back of the plane. Inside we're a few bags and suitcases full of luggage. Matt dug through one, and found a few shirts and pants that should fit him, and also a water bottle, intact and full of sparkling liquid. Suddenly he realized how thirsty he was, and promptly drank half of it. Then, he emptied the bag of the remaining crap, and commandeered it as a loot bag. Armed with his bag and the best of the knives, Matt left the plane and ventured back in to the wild.
