Chapter 2

I walked through the door and slammed it as hard as I possibly could. I jumped a bit at the sound, it was like a gun shot. "Amelia!" My mum shouted annoyed but then her face lightened.

When it was like that she had news... good news and to be honest thats what I needed right now. I walked into the kitchen and pulled out the closest chair, sitting down then turned to face my mum. She gave me a huge smile "Have I got news for you!" She squealed like a little girl.

I sat there patiently, just waiting when she finally let it out. "You know your best friend Kyle, he still lives int he same house! Right down the road!" She clapped her hands as I glared at her. She put her hands on her hips and stared at me confused.

"I hate him!" I shouted then walked off without explaining as she stared after me dumbfounded.  "Amelia! Come back down here right now! I invited them over for dinner! Ms. Liberato is one of my best friends, dont ruin this or you will be in trouble".

I grunted and stormed into my room and whacked the photo of him and me when we were young. It felt to the floor and the frame was a bit cracked. I shrugged it off and walked over to my closet.

I threw on a huge hoodie over my batman top and changed into jeggings then closed the closet and headed out of my room. Just as I did the doorbell rang and I quickly did a U turn. On second thoughts I was in the mood to just lay on bed.

I heard the door open and greetings below. "Amelia, come down here... Kyle and his mother are here" My mum called up. I gritted my teeth, nope I didn't hear anything. A knock appeared on the door and I opened it.

 "Down now!" She said quietly but firmly. I sighed and followed her downstairs and into the kitchen where Kyle and his mother was sitting.

Julie gave me a huge smile and stood up giving me a huge hug. "Oh Amelia! Its so nice to see you" She bellowed and I gave her a warming smile in return.

I sat down beside my mum and she shooed me away making me sit beside Kyle. I sat there with my head down nervously. I peaked through my black/brown hair and saw kyle watching me then he quickly turned away.

I ate my dinner in silence then I walked into the sitting room as my mum told Kyle to go with me. I growled to myself... I would get revenge on her. 

I looked around then sat on the armchair so he wouldnt have the chance to sit beside me. "Amelia...it's nice to see you again" He said awkwardly. 

"Listen Kyle, Im not being your friend... guys like you are nothing but rubbish! Hitting on girls, leading them on then dropping them off like their nothing" He watched me for a minute then I saw anger appear on his face.

"Who said I wanted to be your friend?" He growled lowly as I scrunched up my nose in disgust. 

"I cant believe you were my best friend" I spat then he replied with something real nasty. "It was out of pity!"

I glared at him using all my effort not to cry. One bit of his blonde hair fell into his hazel- green  eyes as he brushed it back. "I don't want anything to do with you!" I said and threw a pillow at him. Really? A pillow?!

I stood up and fled from the room as Julie was leaving. "It was lovely to see you, Amelia" She smiled as she called Kyle. He appeared at the doorway and looked at me for two seconds then turned away opening the door without another word.

Whatever... I was going to bed!

3 days later

School... first day... yay!

I stood outside looking back as the car drove off. Mum had dropped me on the way to work. I scratched the back of my neck nervously then walked through the gates.

I saw a group of girls over at the side, they were looking at something on their iPhone. I looked to the left and saw a boy  reading a book with glasses on. A girl wen tover and joined him, giving him a kiss on the cheek. I walked toward the large building and walked in, noticing people standing by their lockers.

Sure enough, in the corner I found Kyle leaning into somegirls making out with her. I scrunched up my nose in disgust. My heart ached and I felt down. The memories with him were amazing but maybe he did pity me.

I mean I used to be chubby and wear glasses. He did pity me... didnt he? I felt so embarressed that I didnt notice he had pulled away and was looking at me. I gave him an nnoye dlook then walked on passing by him as someone caught my arm. 

I looked back and saw one of the guys I had seen at football the other day. He smiled at me and gave me a wink then Kyle walked over.

"Ryan... that's Amelia" He gave him annoyed look and the guy turned to him then gave me a look. He walked off after that after whispering something to Kyle. 

Kyle looked down at me and stared at me curiously. "I... didnt now you were oging to this school" 

I watched him for a minute then shrugged and walked off. I had nothing to say to him. Ever!

"Lia!" I heard a cry from behind me as I turned around. Jodie stood there jumping a bit waving to get my attention.

I gave her a wave back then walked over. "Hey do you know where I can get my scheduele?" I asked as she passed me something and I stared at it surprised.

"How... did you get it... how did you know I was going to your school?" I laughed at she pointed to her nose. "Hey.... I'm Holly" A girl said beside her smiling. I held out my hand and she took it.

I looked down to see what I had first. English. I liked english, it was an easy subject to do in my opinion. "You dont have that class with me... but you have it with Holly" Jodie pointed out and I nodded.

"You can come with me, I want to be early" Holly said about to walk off. I nodded and trailed after her saying goodbye to Jodie.

"That's the only free seat over there" She indicated to the chair in front of hers. I thanked her and sat down in it dropping my bag. The class was quiet as Holly went to sketch something.

I tapped my fingers on the table as a teacher walked in. "Holly... your early, and you must be the new girl...." "Amelia" I smiled and she nodded.

"I wont make you stand up in front of the class" She said kindly and I sighed in relief. I didnt like that sort of stuff so I was good with being unnoticed. I saw the guy earlier call Ryan jog in and catch a paper ball.

Kyle chuckled as he walked in, gving a high five to him. A guy walked in behind him and gave him a pat on the back also laughing.

Then Kyle turned and began to head to his seat then paused when he saw me. He muttered something then sat next to me. 

I would love to hit him but I didnt want to make a bad impression on the first day to the teacher. So I simply ignored him until he jabbed me. 

"Why are you sitting there?" I gave him a confused look then threw up the rude finger and turned away grinning at the surprised expression on his face. Next thing a paper ball was thrown at the side of my face and I sighed.

So childish. I threw out my leg and kicked him as I saw him wince. He growled then went to do the same but whacked his leg off my table instead and I heard him yelp making me burst out laughing. 

Ms. Tursin looked up surprised and stared at me. I made it as if I was coughing and failed miserably but I guess she decided to ignore it. 

I turned back to Holly and I saw her giggling and I returned the reaction with a grin then looked to Kyle and saw the pissed off look on his face.

Suddenly he passed a note to me and I opened it confused:

You were once my friend... not anymore. Meaning its ok if I get in your pants right? ;)

I went red and looked over seeing his friends laughing and he had a huge smirk on his face. God I felt humiliated but if he wanted to be like that fine! I could play like that.
