Connor's POV
Alfie and Zoe paid for all of our tickets, insisting that it's their treat. We made a deal where They would pay for our entrance, I would pay for our lunch, and Troye would pay for dinner. Zoe and Alfie, hand in hand, walked ahead of Troye and I and through the official park gate. Troye and I's hands brushed each other, but we both knew better than to show any romance in public.
The first ride that we saw was the swings, and I felt a surge of fear in my gut. I had a terrible fear of heights, but Troye looked so excited and the seats were in pairs so I wouldn't be alone. I didn't want him having to ride all alone, so I put on my bravest face and joined the daunting line. Troye smiled at me but Alfie interrupted.
"So, how are you two enjoying the house?"
"It's so good." Troye said, and I could sense his thoughts. I felt his shift in mood, like he was suddenly truly happy to be here. I took out my camera and snapped more photos of Troye while he leaned against the metal railing, hands in his pockets. His shades were laying gracefully over his nose, just barely covering his eyes. Alfie had Zoe wrapped up in his arms and Troye and I looked around to see what would happen if we did the same.
We soon realized that the park would be virtually empty today, as it was morning and the middle of the week. Even though there were only adults who wouldn't know who I was here, I still felt afraid to show affection. The last thing I needed was for us to be leaked. I snapped back to reality when I felt Alfie pulling me along to our seats.
Alfie and Zoe, holding hands, sat together on the purple bench directly in front of Troye and I. The two of us sat in a blue chair that wobbled a bit too much. I got nervous at the fact that we would be swinging with loose seat belts, and the chair wobbled a lot. Troye probably realized that my shivering was the reason for the wobbling, so he shot me one of his famous grins and wrapped his arm around me.
His touch seemed to give me warmth and chills all at the same time. I wanted to snuggle into him, but my balance told me otherwise. I waited anxiously, gripping Troye's hand as the ride gained speed and height. I closed my eyes, screaming as the ride continued on. I made sure to never open my eyes, but I could here Troye's laughter. The ride finally slowed down, and I felt it jolt to a stop. I opened one eye, and found Troye looking at me worriedly.
"Are you alright?" He asked, suddenly turning serious.
"Um, no, but yes. I just don't like heights." I said, relieved that the ride operators were taking off my restraints.
"Oh." Troye responded with a guilty look on his face.
"That's alright, we can do other things." He beamed, cheerful again. He linked arms with Zoe and I , skipping toward the next ride he saw. My breath hitched when I saw what we were aiming for. The Love Tunnel. I was ready to be cheered up by some private time with Troye today. There was no line, and we let Alfie and Zoe go first.
Alfie, like a gentleman, helped Zoe into the boat that would soon bring them through a tunnel filled with hearts, cupid, and the color pink. Troye and I were next, and I helped him in. His little chicken-like legs could barely make it across the gap between land and water. The door was shut behind us, and I knew that the employees were looking at us. I waited until we disappeared into the curtains to make a move. I squeezed his hand, starting an awkward but perfect staring contest.
"I really like you, Connah." Troye said, and I felt a tingle run down my spine. A smile crept it's way onto our faces at the same time. I winked at Troye before breaking eye contact yet again. I turned to sit criss-cross on the bench, facing him and holding both of his hands. Our eyes never broke contact as we both leaned in.
His nose ring scraped my cheek as his lips met mine in perfect time. We moved in sync, our tongues swirling together. Was I doing this right? It felt so comfortable, but I was worried that it was sloppy. His teeth slid along my lower lip, tugging. They soon moved their way down to my neck, leaving me completely breathless.
"You're my everything...." he whispered. I tilted my head back. I felt the ride jolt to a stop. Shit, not now!
"Attention lovers, we are having some technical difficulties. Please remain seated as we try and fix this error." Spoke a monotone, robotic voice.
Troye looked at me, a glint of lust in his eyes. He violently yanked me toward him, our faces crashing together. His hands were freely roaming my waist as he made his way lower and lower. His hands were hovering around my thigh, his breath and emotion pouring into my mouth. We were at the heights of our make-out session with hair pulling, biting, scratching, and whispers. His kisses started to feather down, down, down, until the ride jerked forward and threw us both off of our balance.
We realized how quickly our door would swing open and helped each other by fixing hair, straightening shirts, and returning our breathing to normal. Soon enough, the door swung open and we were out of the boat before anyone could say anything to us. Alfie and Zoe were waiting outside, drenched.
I felt the raindrops hitting my shoulders and ran toward the covered shopping area where they waited.
"So, they just closed the park..." Alfie whined. "The rides started stopping and then it began to rain, so we're going home."
"I thought maybe we could call for pizza and pick it up there, though?" Zoe suggested, trying to lighten the mood.
I looked at Troye and we both nodded, huddling under Zoe's umbrella to make our way to the car. The four of us glided around puddles and waltzed over dropped belongings, hurrying out of the cold. We all leaped into the car and made various noises as if it would help warm us up. Alfie pulled out phone to call for pizza, Zoe turned on the heater and the radio, and Troye cuddled in toward me to keep warm. Sprinting toward the parking lot tired the both of us out, so we quickly succumbed to slumber.
We woke up when Zoe opened the car door, causing Troye and I to nearly fall out into the driveway of Joe's house. The three of us all simultaneously gasped as we realized the coat that once covered our intertwined fingers was not there anymore, exposing Troye and I.
The first thing out of her mouth was "I won't tell anybody!"
"Shit, Connah, I'm so sorry." Troye said, sympathetically. I felt tears burning into my eyes as I now realized it wasn't just our little secret anymore.
