Fragile (#1 Betrayal At Its Best)

•Prologue•

"I'll love you. Each day. Each moment. No matter what.", he emphasized on 'what' Like he new about the impending dangers involved. Like he read my mind. I couldn't afford that. He couldn't find out. My plan worked and if I fell in love with him, it'll all get over.

"Megh" His eyes looked demanding as we lay under the night sky, his blue eyes twinkling. His eyes seemed to change colour each time I saw them. Like right now it was so blue, I had started to lose myself in them. I was falling in love with him.

He caressed my cheek and a cold breath left his mouth. "I...I uh. I have to go". I couldn't let this happen to me.

"Are you on curfew?"

Pretty much. Yes. I was in awful trouble. With me out so late, the warden would tell my parents. Of course. My parents? My parents...

"Uh. Uh yeah. I'm uh sorry.", he looked hurt. Deep down an aching in my heart just wanted not to let go. After the funeral he was broken and yet another outburst would break him beyond measure. So I did it. I kissed him and he didn't hold back. He kissed me back softly, but with all his might like this would be our last first kiss. First? Yes.

As he started kissing me deeper, I started to pull away breathing heavily. To my shock he started moving down my neck. This wasn't right. " No. NO." I tried pushing him away and he wouldn't stop. He can't see it. So I did it. I slapped him. The loud noise echoing around us and he couldn't believe it.

"I said stop.", I growled.

"You aren't my Meghan." His eyes looked cold suddenly and my breath hitched.

"Wh...What?"

"Let's get you out of here.", and without another world he got up, brushing his jeans and walked away.

I was frozen. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would fall in love with this beast.

He looked back motioning to come. I got up slowly and he took my hand in his. After all this he was willing to forgive me? Why wouldn't he give up?
