Ok for the first time in my life I'm going to actually finish writing a story. I'm not going to disappear for 3 months after writing the first chapter.
I PROMISE!!!!! Well unless I tell you I'm going to disappear for 3 months...
If I disappear that means I've either been
Kidnapped
Grounded
OR
Went to space
I love space...
ANYWAYS
I think I should start the story now
Chapter 1
Alice's POV:
Today is the day. FINALLY. The place I've gone to every single year since I was five, where I'm able to express my inner self, where I'm no longer my nerdy, shy self, but creative and outgoing, my favorite place in the world...
Band camp.
I absolutely love band camp. It's the only place in the world where I can just be me. Escape reality with playing brassy music on my trumpet, away from my biggest enemy.
At band camp I can be first instead of always being second best to HIM. HE always has to be first in everything, All County, All District, All State. HE has all the solos, HE has the biggest ego, HE is Aaron Alexander Andrews.
The First.
Not that I'm jealous or anything because why would I be jealous? Psh he's only first in everything.
Ok fine I'm jealous.
But I'm going to camp where he's not there so I can be first. At least I don't flaunt my musical talent around like he does. I actually help the other campers so they can be the best they can be.
Stop it Alice. Don't think about him. Go get ready for camp. And also stop talking to yourself.. It's unhealthy.
I threw on a t-shirt and shorts with slight rips. Well that was easy, now on to make-up. For school I usually wore the eyeliner and mascara but it's summer so I put on a little concealer, mascara, and I was done. Basically make-up free. I tied my long, wavy read hair into a ponytail and stood back to look at my reflection. Unlike most teengers nowadays, I liked my body. I'm skinny, but slightly muscular from swim team. I guess you could say I had an athletic build, but my height ruined the image. I'm 5'3 and for a upcoming senior in highschool, that's short. What I liked most about my body were my eyes. I have startling blue eyes. In school I wear glasses because I'm too lazy to put in my contacts which hides my eyes. During the summer I wear contacts. I looked at my watch, 10:00. Camp starts at 1 and I have to be there a little early to help out with the younger campers. I might want to-
"Alice , time to go. You don't want to be late on your first day, do you?"
leave now...
Oh and you probably noticed my name. Duh. Yup I have an A name too, but not my last and middle names like Sir Triple A. Alice Paisley Summers at your service.
Well not actually at your service, but whatever. You know what I mean.
"I'm coming. Don't worry." I grabbed my suitcase and bags, then hopped downstairs. Literally. I'm so excited and I just can't hide it. I grabbed an apple, said bye to Mr. Whiskers, my cat, and ran outside. I threw my junk in the trunk and waited for my mom in the passenger's seat.
"I'm guessing you're excited?" My mom jumped into the driver's seat. Yeah, she's short too.
"I can't wait to see Colleen! I bet she grew another inch. She really needs to stop growing. And Emily of course! My trumpet buddy! And Shirley, the camp director! And Abby, and Sid, and Charlie, and Ben, and Hope, and-"
