This can't be happening. Why me? WHY? I just wanted a care free summer and now HE'S here. Yes HIM.

Sir Triple A with his egotistical self.
"Alice? Is that you?" I did the only logical thing that came to mind.
I ran.
All the way to the cabin where Colleen and Emily were unpacking their bags.
"Alice, what's wrong?" Emily looked up.
"He's here." I weazed.
"Who?" By this time, both had stopped what they were doing and stared at me.
"Aaron." From all these years spent together, we had told each other everything. No secrets among us. They know all about Aaron.
"NO! REALLY?" They started asking me all these questions.
"WHERE DID YOU SEE HIM?!"
"DID YOU SAY HI?"
"IS HE HOT?!" I looked over at Emily, perplexed.
"What?" Did she literally just ask me that?
"Um I said, is he hot as in uh sweaty and stuff?" She looked nervously at her flip flops as if they were the most interesting shoes in the world.
"Girl, I heard what you said and you did not just ask me that. HE'S MY NUMBER ONE ENEMY FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!"
"Ok. Ok. Well then where did you see him?"
"At the gate as we were walking to the cabins."
"That's why you weren't with us. We just thought you stopped to talk to Shirley or someone else." Colleen spoke up.
"Did you say hi?!" Emily sure was curious about him.
"Uh I might have ran away from him as soon as he recognized me..."
"ARE YOU MAD?! You should have at least said hi even if you are enemies! Anyways we have to head over to the mess hall or there won't be any food left."
"Oh yeah that's right. You have the lunch shift tonight." Each of us "veterans" have a certain job to do here at camp and the lunch shift is by far the worst. Feeding the whole camp dinner that looks like vomit isn't a happy way to spend an evening in my opinion. But since she lost the race, she gets to do it.
"I thought that you've forgotten about that."
"Me? Forget about that? Never in a million years." As we headed down to the mess hall (me carefully avoiding the gate) we saw new campers who we waved at and returning campers who we greeted with hugs. Finally we reached the mess hall and said bye to Emily as she went behind the counter to work.
"You guys are so going to pay for this." I started laughing.
"Of course we are." I spotted Sid and Ben in the same corner they were in earlier. I walked over to them with Colleen until I stopped and realized they were with Aaron.
"Colleen!" I whispered loudly.
"What?"
"Look who they're with."
"Is that-"
"YES!" No. No. No. I can't go over there. I can skip dinner. Yeah. I'm not that hungry anyways." I started heading back towards the cabin when she grabbed my arm.
"You, missy are not going anywhere. You're going to face your fear and actually say hi to him, even though he's your sworn enemy." I'd have to face him sooner or later. Sigh.
