Lacey's P.O.V.
My dad threw the door open, guiding me into the house and helped me onto the couch.
"Thanks, Daddy." He chuckled a bit.
"No problem, Princess." I began to hear a buzzing noise, meaning the phone was ringing. "Lemme get that." He rushed to grab the phone. "Hey? So. What does he do? How old is he? Seventeen? That's a year older than my daughter! Hahaha, yeah. Tell the guys to come over, tonight, bring the kid. Yeah, sounds cool. Alright, talk to you later, Jeff." I heard a small click noise.
"Well, there's a new guy that Jeff met. His name is Jackson, but prefers Eyeless Jack. He's seventeen, close to your age." I was very excited, as this was the first time a boy my age was coming over to my house.
"Well, I should be getting ready." I began to walk towards the stairs. "Lacey! Stay there!" I felt my father rush over and grab my shoulder. Right, he needed to guide me. Fun.
He guided me to my room and we both sat on my bed. "Actually, I wanted to wear something kinda... Fancy. You know, something beautiful. Maybe... Mom's favorite dress?" My father didn't move and inch. "Daddy...?" I felt a weight get off the bed and walk away, shutting the door and not returning.
I stood up and was about to select something from my wardrobe when the door opened back up. "Hey! I got that dress for you!" my father called. I began to listen from which direction his voice came and turned. I wasn't looking directly at him, but I was probably pretty close. "Thanks, Daddy." I reached out and tried to hug him, feeling strong arms wrap their way around me. "You're welcome, Princess."
As soon as I heard footsteps walk out and the door shut, I ripped my shirt off and my jeans, throwing on the dress. I felt for the breast padding to make sure I put it on the right way. "Good. That's good." I felt the soft pad and felt around for my wardrobe, again. I stood there for a long time until my father came in. "I'm assuming you're dressed... What are you looking for?" he asked. "I need a pair of shoes for this outfit..." I explained. "Ah. There's a matching pair of shoes that can hook up to the dress using this sort of belt-type thing. Here, let me get them for you. They're boots, so they're kinda big. I'll help you put them on." I felt something be slipped onto my feet. They were leather, and stopped a little bellow my knees.
"Thanks, Dad. How do I look?" I stood up and let my father get a look of me. "Beautiful. Like your mother... She'd be proud of how smart and pretty you've become..." I felt around until my arms found their way around my father and hugged him. "Oh Daddy... I'm sorry Mom isn't here any more... I wish she could be."
Then, there was a knock on the door. "Lacey and I will be down there in a second!" my dad bellowed. "Come on, Daddy. Let's meet the new kid."
My dad slowly helped me down the stairs. When we got to the door, my father gently pushed me behind him. Then, there was the creak of the front door opening. "Hey, guys!" laughed my dad. "Good to see you, Masky! This is the new guy, Jack. Jack, this is Tim, but we call him Masky." introduced Uncle Hoody. I was behind my father, and I probably wasn't seen. "Nice to meet you, Masky." said a deep, but young voice. My father took my hand. "And this is Lacey, my daughter." I smiled. I assumed I was facing them.
"Pleased to meet you." I said in my quiet, soft voice. "Ah. I'm Jack..." Everything went silent. "Uh... Why are your eyes looking off like that. Are you... Okay." I felt my father stiffen and I knew that he was ANGRY. "Dude... She's blind." whispered Jeff. "Oh my god! I am seriously so sorry! I didn't know!" I laughed a bit at how panicked his voice sounded. "It's alright! I'm not offended... My dad is a little unhappy, though." I felt a hand on my shoulder. "You're lucky it's hard to offend my daughter. However, I'm forced to seriously and brutally injure anyone to upset her. Understood?" My father was too protective.
"Daddy, we should let them in." I sighed after we all stood there for a long time. "Ah. Yes, Princess. You're right. Come in, all of you. Food is in the kitchen. My daughter helped me prepare it, feel free to have some." My father guided me to the couch.
I sat down and felt a weight next to me. "Hey, Dad, can you get something for me to eat?" I asked. "Uh... I'm not your dad." said a deep, familiar voice. "Jack! I'm so sorry!" I apologized. "No, I can get something from the kitchen for you." He left and came back with something. "Thanks... Er..." I took water it was and felt it. It was soft and fluffy, and the sides had things sticking out of them. "Oh right! I forgot that you were blind. It's a sand which." I smiled. Sandwiches were one of the few things I could eat on my own. Where was my father during all of this, though?"
"So... How old are you, Lacey?" he asked. I swallowed my mouthful of food. "I am sixteen. My dad told me you're seventeen, right?" He laughed. "Yeah... So, what do you do for fun?" he asked. "I-" I felt a presence behind me and smelled the scent of blood and sweat. So either Uncle Jeff or my dad were behind me. "My daughter and I like to spend time together." It was my dad. Shoot. "Doing what?" Jack asked. "That is none of your business." I stood up and began to walk away. I didn't like how my father was treating him, and I didn't want to hear any fighting. I walked as fast as I could and ran into our coffee table, falling over. I let out a loud scream and felt my face crash forward. My arms were gently grabbed and I was helped up. "Ugh... Thanks, dad." I said, rubbing my bruised forhead. "I'm not your dad." I felt my face go red. "Oh... You're Jack... Thanks..." He laughed a bit. "No problem. I'm fine with helping you."
I felt another person grab my arm and yank me away from Jack. "Princess! Are you okay? Do you need help? A hospital!?" I chuckled a bit. "Daddy, I'm fine. Don't worry about me." I kissed his forehead. "I'm fine."
