Why am I here...what is the point of me sitting here listening to the story of all these people...All they do is complain and I have to "help" them. I can't seem to tell them how important their lives are. Medication isn't always the answer. Neither is the church, sometimes it's them. Nothing you can say will make it better for them...so why do I bother? Oh yeah its because of my brother...

"So that's what happened"
I completely zoned out during this man's session but he is the usual, he is completely convinced that he is alone even though his wife is here with him. I give him the usual advice, medication and so forth .

As he left I got my stuff and walked down stairs to the reception and checked out.
"Long day Miss James?" I look up to see this very annoying desk receptionist that I wouldn't mind hitting with my 5 inch heel. I mean it would be great if she didn't take her pants off for every male doctor here. Most of the poor suckers are married and I council their wives. Let's just say I'm not liked at all because I have ended many of my fellow doctors' marriages because they were unfaithful.
"Yes, Miss Cobble, it has been long and have you found any more TOYS?"
She narrowed her eyes .
"You're just jealous that they like me more."

"Oh! Me jealous... no no sweet pea, I could never be jealous of a blow-up doll."

She just scoffs and I walk away. After a very bumpy train ride, I finally get home. I live in a little complex with my cat, Puddles. I have an amazing view of a brick wall from my window.

I put my house keys down and kicked off my heels. While I raided my fridge my kitty came and rubbed herself against me and purred...I love this cat. My phone buzzed on the kitchen counter and all I could think of was work. I picked it up and it was an unknown number. Normally I would never answer but this time I did.

"Hello this is Dr Tess James, may I help you?"

"Yes hello doctor I am professor Charles, head of the mental institution at Woodcrest. I have heard about your work and I want to offer you a job as a ehhhh..... Doctor to some of our patients with some... errr... mental problems."

He had a thick German accent and you could tell he was oldish by his voice . Woodcreast is far where I live at lease a hour drive and my car can't make it that far, thats why i take the subway.

"Sounds compelling but what is it for me sir , I live a hour away and what's going to make it worth it for me ?".

" ah doctor trust me we will make it worth it say... triple your pay plus we will throw in a bonus for you to upgrade from your rust bucket".

" wait how did you know I-".

" we have been watching you miss James , so will you take the offer . You will be a decorated doctor here and your very good ."

" um....okay what are my hours ". I started to feel a little creeped out by this guy but triple pay doesn't sound to bad .

" your hours are from 9 am in the morning to 10 pm... "

" thank you for the offer but - "

" great see you tomorrow and we will notify your work "

The phone hung up be from I could say a word but hey sounds like a good offer, now what to wear?
