She's staring at me. Her gaze burning a bloomin' hole through my head. I glance up at her from my book. "Something wrong?" I ask irritably, annoyed by her staring. "Yeah. You're ignoring me." I roll my eyes and go back to my book. "I'm reading. Why don't you go annoy someone else a while?" The lights go out.

"Blimey!" I cry out in alarm, dropping my book and jumping up. It's complete darkness. A light turns on in front of me and I jump back, stumbling over my chair. "Ow!" Laughter fills the room. I sit up and glare coldly at the dark haired girl with the blue flashlight. "Is your entire existence just to make my life miserable?" I demand as she helps me up, giggling still. "Lighten up, Bird." She punches my arm and flips the lamp switch back on.

Exasperated, I sit back down and try to resume reading. It's unsuccessful. Loud music suddenly fills the room. "Great Moons of Neptune!" I exclaim, dropping my book, alarmed at the loud music. "Theodora, let me bloomin' read!"

She smiles at me in a mocking way, saluting. "Aye aye, gov'na!"
I frown. "I do not sound anything like that."
She makes a face, sticking her tongue out, a lost expression present. "Duh, I'm Robin! I'm a smart-alloc, British, know-it-all!"
I cross my arms, smirking. "I'm Theo. I'm an overwhelmingly large hippopotamus!"

She giggles and starts flapping her arms, running in a circle. "I'm in denial about being an actual bird, because I fell out of my best as a widdle pigeon!"

"I can't spell! Oh, I had better ask Robin, because he's so smart and good-looking!" She suddenly tackles me to the floor, pinning my arms down, laughing and cheeks pink. I laugh too. "Stupid Bird."
"Big mouth baboon face."

She rolls off me roaring with laughter. I grin. "My, did someone let a lion in here?"
"Must be you." She sits up. I roar and she does too. Soon we're both laying side by side, panting. Her cheeks are bright pink and her lips are pulled back in a toothy smile. I smile as I look at her. "Little Lightning Bug?" She hits me. "I'm older than you. And don't call me that."
"Yes, well, I'm taller."
"Shut up."

"You didn't let me finish."
"What?" Her smile vanishes and is replaced by a slightly concerned expression. "Everything okay?"
I nod hurriedly. "Yes, of course."
"Then what is it?"
"Happy Valentine's Day."
She smiles and hugs me.
"Happy Valentine's Day, Robin."
