I leave Theo in the living room to try and read my book elsewhere. Clearly I won't get any reading done in there. In the kitchen I find Savvy and wave. "Salutations, Frosty."
"Heyo, Robby!" She greets with a light laugh. "Breakfast?" She tosses me an apple, which I clumsily try to catch but end up missing and landing on the floor with a thud. Theo catches the apple. "Lose something?"Face red with embarrassment, I get up and take it from her. Frosty laughs. "Sorry, Robby." She walks around the counter to face us. She's dressed in a Batman apron. "What's cooking?" The asks, taking a seat and helping herself to my apple. "Pancakes!" Frosty shouts happily. "Again?" I sit beside Theo. Frosty nods excitedly. "Yep! We're going to break the record for most breakfast meals being pancakes in history!" I smile.
Frosty gives me another apple and holds up a plate of already cooked, heart shaped pancakes. "Happy Valentine's Day, Robby and Theo." She sets one on two plates. Mine is a normal looking one. Theo's in broken and has a knife sticking out of it. No surprise there. "Aw, Sav, it's beautiful!" She exclaims and the two girls hug.
"I knew you'd like it."
"Darn!" I exclaim suddenly, jumping up and running to the refrigerator. "Something wrong, Robby?" Frosty asks as the two girls watch me pull things out of the refrigerator. I let out a sigh of relief when I see it. "Yeah." I take the plate and hold it out to Frosty. A large, heart shaped cheese sits on it.
"Made this myself. I know it's not perfect. I'm not an artist like-"
She hugs me suddenly, catching me off guard. I nearly drop it. "I love it, Robby. It's perfect to me." She hugs me tightly. I hand Theo the plate, careful she doesn't touch it, and hug her back. "You're welcome, Frosty."
After that I decide to try a different room, and leave Theo and Frosty to happily chat.
(Dedicated to Miss Savvycat. Or as I call her Frosty. Have a fantastic Valentine's Day!)
