For eternal was the love that he bore,
To a flower that was found at his door,
He had nurtured her day and night,
Protecting her from all her frights.

The flower was proud of it's own beauty,
She boasted of it happily,
But the prince didn't mind,
He was willing to be blind.

The flower thought of him as low,
But she too loved him so,
He was her everything,
If she was a queen she would gladly make him her king.

The days they spent together past,
But both want it to last,
For alas the time is nearly upon this flower,
For her to be forgotten and whither.

During the time for her to go,
She told the prince everything she wanted him to know,
"Please don't leave," the prince cry,
The flower smiled one last time and whispered "I love you even after I die."

And she kept her word for even if she's gone,
Her soul calls out to him and his calls out to her own,
For they were meant to be together,
The little Prince and his flower.
